Question about Makita MAC2400 13 Amp 2 1/2 Horsepower 4 Gallon Oiled Twin Hot Dog Compressor
I just purchased this compressor and it took about 30 min. to pressure up to 100 lbs.
Did you install the exhaust manifold that came with the unit?
It was not factory installed on mine when I received it and the set up/break in instructions did not mention it. There is a plastic plug on the side of the head where it is threaded into.
I had the same issue with slow buildup until I realized this needed to be installed - pressures up in no time afterwards.

Double check that the drain valve is fully closed on the bottom of the tank. Once it reached 100 PSI, did it stay pressurized or did the pressure drop? Did you run the initial break-in procedure described in the manual? Do you hear any air leaks?
