Question about Dell Inspiron M5030 PC Notebook
When I turn the power on it beeps 4 times, pauses, beeps 4 more times, and just continues while never starting up.
According to the manual a series of 4 beeps indicates a "RAM read/write error". Do you know how many sticks of memory you have in your laptop?

try to replace ram memory basicaly that`s the problem if u have 2 dimm`s try starting it up with one if it does the same try the other one and if is the same try to change the socket of the ram

make sure that your RAM and Cmos battery are securely seated
Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions IDE SATA
the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
graphics card is seated properly with no dust in the socket you might have to remove it to check for dust

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure make sure the connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty
a computer needs all electric current and computer data to travel to and through every working device and have an end to work properly click start right click on my computer so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
