Question about Samsung SyncMaster 216BW Monitor
Any buttons i push, the monitor dont react. But if i unplug and then replug it, it react for 2 sec and after this nothing.
Are these buttons on your monitor? or Keyboard?
if they are buttons on your monitor you may have installed a graphic or colour balancing piece of software (maybe associated with an update to GFX card software) This would explain the reason they work so briefly, as this is the time in which the process that is causing your trouble, starts up.
Press Alt+CTRL + Delete to access the Task Manager in windows... go to the Process' panel, then take a good look thru to check if there are any graphic management software tools in startup.
try stopping some (this cannot do harm as all will reset on next re-boot) and seee if this helps.
Of course this possible solution check is only for monitor related issues.... if it's keyboard, then it's a totally different issue... Although still likely to be recent software installation related.
Could also try typing msconfig in the 'run' box to get access to a selective startup which will let you narrrow down the new and possible baddies - however i should warn that you Can Do more trouble with MsConfig that you aimed for if you are a novice user.
give more detail and i will attempt to help you further.
