Keep the camera at a distance from a bulb for atleast 3-4 hours .. make sure its not too close to the bulb ...... or the heat will have a reverse effect .... there is certain condensation on the CCD of the camera due to which it gives the message ..... try it and check ....

Can you pause video recording on a Canon 550D SLR camera

No. You have to shoot separate clips and combine them in the editing stage on a computer.

My camcorder is model GR-D20E. When I turn it on, there is error msg on the LCD screen: Please wait. Condensation, operation paused.

Hi.

The camera has got moisture inside it and that is why you getting the message on-screen.

I suggest you find a dry warm place to put the camera in for about 24 hours for the camera to dry out. Take out the battery when you do this.
The condensation should have dried up after 24 hours and should be fine after that.

Regards.

When you open the camcorder, it appears on the screen: PLEASE WAIT, CONDENSATION OPERATION PAUSED. JVC Digital Video Camera> Model D70AS

This is usually an indication of high humidity or dampness inside the camcorder. Some devices say "DEW" instead. Most of the time, a simple "airing out" will allow the moisture to be evaporated away. The amount of time required for this to happen is dependent of how damp it is inside the camera and how dry the air is when trying to air it out. Obviously, dry air will evaporate the moisture much quicker than humid air. If you can power the camcorder from your home's electricity - you might want to leave it on so that the electronics inside the camcorder can heat up and significantly reduce the evaporation time.

If the camcorder message doesn't clear after a reasonable period of time, it may require professional servicing. I hope this helps and good luck. Please rate my reply - thanks!

My camera JVC says Condensation operation paused.

Here is way to fix this: http://www.freewebs.com/ltooz/03jvcgrd70u.htm
Take your time, it's not hard to fix but you need to be calm when working especially when you solder pin 1 & 2. It worked for me and the thing with the power connector was working only for couple minutes but you can try the trick with the power connector first.

I thing it is not worth letting the camera to be repaired for money.. try fix the problem yourself

I was taking pictures, but paused for a moment to find a better angle. I guess I got distracted for a few minutes. I went back to the camera to see that the screen was black. I thought it had turned itself...

Hi. Yes, that happened to me once. Battery went dead and doesn't have enough power left to retract the lens. Camera worked fine after I put in charged battery. I hope this is your case too.

I want to know how to pause my camera while filming

To pause the camera in the middle of filming, fully press the shutter at the top of the camera to the right, the recording will be paused. (i.e the shutter that you pressed while the camera is in recording mode, that enables recording while pressed fully. You press it, it will pause and when you press again, it starts recording). This is possible because the camera is already in recording mode.

CONDENSATION NEVER GONE

You are not providing much to go on, but if you are having a problem with condensation, try packing the camera in a ziplock bag with a bunch of desiccant packs (the little packets that come in vitamin and other bottles with supplements) and leave it in there for a few days, the desiccant packs may absorb the moisture.  Keep it in a warm place so that the moisture remains as water vapor so it can escape from wherever it is trapped.  With a little luck this might absorb enough of the trapped water vapor to help.
