SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Where is the 40 pin IDE on a Connolly cruus e187242 f2

This motherboard only has one such connector. It is above the video connector, right next to the main power connector. When a PC has only one IDE headder, it is usually used for the CD/DVD drive.

This PC is designed to use SATA hard drives for which there are two connectors available for use.

Over the last few months our PC is difficult to start up - we have to keep pressing the on button sometimes 20 or more times while the amber light is flashing then maybe it'll start - could it be a faulty...

If it is not the physical start button and the power supply is OK something you can look for yourself is a blown capacitor on the motherboard. They should have flat tops. The one pictured here is from a Dell 5150 Connolly E187242 motherboard that I am currently working on and you can see that the top is not flat but rounded. I am not an expert and it could be something else but I feel this is worth checking out.

The ON/OFF button just "closes" an open circuit, e.g., just like a light-switch on the wall.

You could briefly even "short" the two pins on the motherboard front-panel, with a metal screwdriver, to prove that "closing" the circuit is the trigger to the motherboard to react, either by starting-up, or by shutting-down.
