My vacuum is making a loud whirring sound and is hotter than normal.

Hi Kelsey! I understand how frustrating this must be. Dirty filters or a clog can cause the vacuum to change sound and be hotter than normal.

Here is a quick link to troubleshooting the excessive noise:

I cleaned all the filters and it doesn't have any suction

Check the hoses for a clog. Sometimes the hoses themselves will get clogged and cut off suction -- other times it happens between the beater brush and the hose (within the cleaning head itself). If this is the case, when you turn on the vacuum it will make a higher pitch sound than normal, and sound like it is working really hard, even thought there is no suction. If you can't reach the clog, but you have found it in the hose, you can usually use a coat hanger to either loosen it up or remove it completely from the hose. If this does not work, you can try loosening the clog with another vacuum. Just use the second vacuum to reverse the normal air-flow through the hose ... sometimes this will loosen it up and get your equipment to work.

The motor in the power head ran at a higher pitch for a for 8 to 10 seconds then stopped. If I push the reset button the powerhead may or may not start or it may start and run for a few seconds. The brush...

Did you check the belt? A broken belt results in lower strain on the motor, causing it to run faster resulting in the faster speed and higher pitch. This could result in overheating, which will cause the motor to shut off.
If this isn't the problem you'll need to take it to the nearest Aerus Electrolux store for trouble-shooting and repair.

How much water goes in the vaccuum

Hello,
I have a simular model. Here's what I do.
On the fill tank (that's the top tank), look on the front and you'll see where it says "Fill Line". Fill this with hot water first (so it doesn't foam up) and then add your cleaning solution. Make sure the lid on the bottom tank is on tight. It should snap in place. Top should also snap into place. Turn on and pull trigger and move forward a few feet, let go of trigger and solution will stop coming out. Do this a few times and then without pulling trigger, go over the same area you just did to pick up water. Repeat this until you are done. When the bottom tank is full, it will sound a little loader and higher pitch. Just empty tank and put back in and continue.
Hope this helps.

Motor seems like it is overworking. The sound of the vacuum is higher pitched than before.

Hi!  Almost certainly your vacuum has a blockage somewhere. The higher pitch means the motor is running faster than normal, but it's not overworking, it's actually working less because it's moving less air.  Check for blockages and clear whatever you find (your user manual should tell you where and how to look), and that should be that! Alternatively, it may be that the drive belt to the brush roller has broken. Check that too. I hope this helps.  If not, please write again and I'll try again.

Belt constantly snapping

Make certain the belt is twisted the correct direction and that the brush is free to rotate. If the belt is twisted the wrong way it will probably come off or breake

Belt is burning?

is the brush turning?  remove any debris that is keeping it from rotating.  It does sound like the belt is burning because the motor is trying to turn it and the brush/sweeper is jammed.
