New battery I have an older GE 900 Model 26938GE1-C and installed a new battery because it was "burping" and making a puffing noise. Well the new battery is doing the same thing after 20 hours of installing it. What can I do to stop this constant noise?
It should have a programable freq in phone if so change it and see if it helps you could be getting int form new services in the air in your community wireless internet ect,

After looking through the instructions sheet I can tell you there is on speaker phone feature in the handset but you buy an optional headset unit that plugs to the side of the handset to make the system hands free. But that is not same as having speaker phone.

Bring the phone into your local radioshack store, they sell a variety of adapters. They can match up the voltage, amperage, and plug end based on the specs of the phone, just bring it in.

I think your problem might be that the second handset is not registered with the base station. Take the second phone out of it's cradle and place it in the base station (where the first phone is), and leave it there for 20 seconds. Place it back in it's own cradle, and it should start working. I lost the manual for the phone, so I don't know how to reprogram the freq in phone!. Thanks anyway.
