Do you have another installer with the same version, maybe the installer have a factory defect. Try to re-install it again with new one. It's really difficult to remove the program once it locks up.

Downloaded windows automatic update stuck on 3 of 3 for last few days. tried last known good config does nothing, i always return to updating 3 of 3 cannot get my comp to do anything else. help desperately...

An issue has been identified by Microsoft that, after installing Windows Updates, a Computer displays a Configuring updates: stage 3 of 3. 0% complete message, reboots, comes back to that message again, and repeats the cycle. This problem occurs when Windows Update is attempting to install update 937287.

Follow this procedure to resolve the error:

1. Remove all connected peripheral Devices from the Computer.

2. Press and hold the power button until the Computer completely shuts down.

3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

4. Leave the Computer without any power for at least 30 seconds.

5. Reconnect the Computer to the power supply and then turn it back on.

6. Allow the Computer to start normally.

NOTE 1: Once the Computer has completely started into the Operating System, Windows Updates should automatically finish installing the update. If the update again fails to install completely, restart the Computer in Safe Mode (by tapping the F8 Kay at Start-up) and use the System Restore feature to return the Computer to a time before the issue started.

Click the Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore.

NOTE 2: To avoid this issue, obtain and install update 937287 from the Microsoft Download Center separately from all other updates on the Windows Update site. Install the update that applies to your version of Windows Vista so that you can successfully install future updates.

For more information about this error, refer to the Microsoft KB Article ID 949358.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'Failed to install. For Troubleshooting please see: http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_19166'for windows xp

I'm assuming that you were trying to install Adobe Flash Player. The best thing to do would be to remove Flash Player from your system entirely, and then try a clean install. Please go to http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html and click on the link following the word "Windows" below the text "1. Download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller." Save this file to your desktop. Shut down ALL programs that you have running. Look in the system tray (next to the time) to make sure that everything is closed.

Run the uninstaller by clicking on the file that was placed on your desktop. You may be asked to restart your system. If you are, please do that before going any farther.

Once Flash Player is completely gone from your computer, please go to http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/triggerpages/flash.html . Wait for a few minutes. When Flash Player is reinstalled, you will see a quick Flash animation in the middle of the lighter blue box telling you that your installation is complete.

Each time you upgrade your Flash Player, you should use this routine to ensure that no parts of the old version are left over to cause problems for the newest version.

Hope this helps! Diana Wellspring

Cannot use reader 8.0,cannot remove it or install 9.0

oddly enough, you may find that updating the version 8.0 you have to 8.x will then allow you to remove it (or it will work correctly) can you open the reader manually in the programs list? if so open it, then go to help and check for updates. apply the updates. If they work you should be in good shape.

NERO INITIALIZATION FAILED BECAUSE OF A PROBLEM WHILE ACCESSING THE REGISTRY. REGISTRY BRANCH HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREAHEAD NEEDS FULL READ/WRITE PERMISSION.

HI,
this is a system registry fault, usually occurs if the program has corrupt data, or trial version expired et,c.
If this is a full Nero Version, uninstall/remove and re-install.
Check the Time And Date On Your Computer.
Also possible solution, check for viruses, locking off the drive.
Or that there are no pending applications attempting to write to the Drive.
Finally Try Another DVD, Could Be A Faulty or part written disk.
** Please do Not Rate This Until your problem Has been resolved** thankyou.
