When u go to settings in the main thing when u turn it on you have to hit the buttons percisely like bulls eye on the dot or nothing will happen.there is another chance that your touch screen may be broken from taping it to hard or doing somthing to it so it may be harder to tap it but if ur screen is broken well.........then if it goes completely out like when u touch it then its broken for sure but that may solve ur problem

How to reset ds lite touchscreen

For a calibration reset you should be able to get into it using the directional pad and buttons at the main screen without a game in it. It should be in the settings icon.

Touchscreen on Nintendo DS Lite will not work, when the screen is tappped with the pen, it will not do anything, can some one please help?

If you have droped it, you probobaly knocked the screen from the touchpad. Dont worry, you can fix this. All you have to do is go into the bottom of the ds with a screw driver. Then move the screen back into place. If your scared you shouldnt be. Its very easy to fix and you wont screw up your ds unless you pull of the sreen but that is very hard to do.

Stylus Does Not Match Up With Touch Screen. Has Been Like This For Ages. Sent It Back Once But Did'nt Make A Difference. Could You Maybe Give Us Some Money Back?.

I think your touchscreen must not be calibrated correctly. Turn on your ds without a game and go to the little tiny ds a the bottom. Then click on the yellow orangish icon and it will start calibration. Just touch the marks with the target things to calibrate it.

My screen wont calibrate

Do you mean you calibrate the screen and you can never accept the changes?

The lower screen in the DS Lite is actually 3 pieces. The lower screen, then the touch screen on top of it and then a clear plastic cover on top of that. If you are very rough with stylus on the clear plastic and leave dents or gouges this will damage the touchscreen.

From your basic description the touch screen needs to be replaced.
