Question about Neff U1461 Double circotherm plus Electric Oven
The Main element in my Main Oven needs to be replaced, but I can't seem to figure out how to take out the old one. The element is the grill/oven combined element. Can anyone help. I can remove the top bracket holding it in place which allows it to swing down, but don't know how to remove the back bracket, there are no screws visible. Do I have to remove the oven itself ?
SOURCE: can not remove element
Hi there. Dunno if you solved your problem but I had exactly the same. I did a bit of digging on this website and found the solution which worked. Basically, undo the three bolts holding the fan motor onto the back of the unit. This should allow enough play on the fan from the inside to wiggle (technical term) the bolt free and replace on the new element. Reposition and secure the motor. Hope this helps. Matt

Yes ,it is the element.
You need to remove the panel at the rear of the oven, this will give you access to the element.

If there are no screws at the rear of the oven compartment that you can see to remove, then you will have remove the oven from the housing, and remove outer rear panel of oven to access the element.
Check the 4 fixings again, because on some ovens , they are not using coventional screws, they are are using what are called Torx screws, and you need a torx screwdriver or key to undo them.
Plz rate my solution.

There are a couple of solutions to this prob,
You can get some plastic metal and build up the corroded area after cleaning it first, then you can drill a new fixing hole for screw.
The other thing you can do is to cut a small metal plate to fit over bad area, drill and fix it to oven liner, again drill a new fixing hole for element to be secured.
Plz rate my solution.

screw at top of element is for support.. there are either 2 screws at the rear of element bracket holding it or access to behind the rear panel is required as there are 2 nuts holding the grill bracket to rear cavity. please make sure power has been disengaged before attemt to repair..
