You dont have to remove the aluminum heat sink. The ICs are attached with screws and then just unsolder the ICs from the circuit board and then replace the new ics into the pin hole locations after applying heat sink compound onto the back then screww the new ICs to the heat sinks then solder the pins. Very easy repair.

You have 2 distinct problems that should be addressed separately. Please repost the Samsung problem. I will address the Sony problem here.
If the "shadow" makes the picture seem somewhat of a 3D one, the problem is with the convergence circuit. This could be as simple as bad connections on the pins of the convergence ICs or defective ICs. If you can solder and would like to attempt the repair, update this and I'll provide more details and instructions.

I think you have a fault on the chroma board and on the picture frame board. If you can trace it yourself try these two locations otherwise call out a competant technician. hope this helps.

You have a vertical sweep circuit problem. There is an IC chip that controls this which may have failed or the capacitor for the IC has failed or both. The third possibility is that a fuse on the power board that supplies voltage to the convergence ICs has blown. The first step would be to check voltages to the convergence ICs. If that is okay then the vertical sweep circuit would be next, These are simple repairs but require some tedious soldering and familiarity with electronics.
