Get a computer and put the iphone in recovery mode to do that, you have to turn off your iphone plug usb to computer plug in port on iPhone and hold home button and itunes will recognize your iphone in recovery mode doesn't matter if never sync you need a Internet connection.

Turn on the phone and Reset it back to default settings. You will then have to register with Itunes for your own account

- or -
Try and do some info gathering on the phone itself for leftover information and use the forgot password option.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I bought my iPhone 5c used and need to know how to get iTunes password for account that already exists on phone or how to reset it and set up my own iTunes account on it? ??

You have to set up a new account, using your email address, password and credit card details. For obvious reasons, you can't use the previous owners account and they will be using it on their iphone 6.

Click Settings (the cog wheel)

Click I-tunes and App Store

Click on the Apple ID that you can see.

Click Sign Out

Reboot the phone (power down, and back on)

Go back to the same place and set up your own account.

Forgot iTunes details

I think the only help you can get, is from Apple. At least if you want to keep everything that was on your phone and in iTunes.
I think they will help you by resetting your password, that goes with your iTunes account.

I don't know my username or password for Itunes. Don't even remember ever being asked! Help!

To have an iphone you had to have had an itunes account. There's no way around that.

You can go to their forgot password and reset it and see what it was. Or you can just open a new free account through them.

With out an itunes account, you can't update now, you can't download apps or anything.

Hi, you'll need to restore your iphone as a new iphone it will wipe all the data from your phone but its necessary as if you try to restore your phone and use previous back ups it will bring the voicemail password back...Hope this helps..

Use the following steps to restore your iPhone.

***** IF YOU CANT SEE YOU IPHONE IN ITUNES OR IT IS STUCK AT THE APPLE LOGO - POWER DOWN YOUR PHONE - HOLD DOWN THE HOME BUTTON FOR AROUND 6SECS WHILST CONNECTING TO ITUNES - RELEASE BUTTON - ITUNES WILL THEN APPEAR WITH MESSAGE SAYING IT HAS DETECTED IPHONE IN RECOVERY MODE & CONTINUE TO RESTORE YOUR PHONE - FOLLOW FROM STEP 6! ) *****
  1. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed and running before attempting to update.
  2. Connect your device to your computer.
  3. Select your iPhone when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
  4. Select the Summary tab.
  5. Select the Restore option.
  6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up option (as seen in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not necessary to create another.

  7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up your device, you should not have to worry about restoring your phone).

  8. Once the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple logo while starting up:

iPhone only: For the iPhone only, after a restore, the iPhone displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. Keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or you see "iPhone is activated." If iTunes does not have an Internet connection, you cannot complete this step.

  9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. Once your device is restored and-in the case of the iPhone-in the process of activating, you should be able to see the following in iTunes:

The user name and password that is asked for is the same one you set up in itunes when you appled for an account.. the user name is the e-mail address you used for the account and the password you associated with it so if you have not done so set up an account with itunes first.

If you have already got said account then double check to make sure you are entering the correct password the e-mail you used should be already visible in the dialogue box that has popped up asking for the password
