I have LG WD -1050F Intellowasher 7kg front load washer, while operating time getting water leakage under front door. need solution.

Hi,

The problem is due to the rubber boot is been torn that is causing you the leak. You have to check the rubber boot for leaks by removing the clamp assembly that secures the rubber boot to the outer lip of the door opening. Peel off the rubber boot then inspect it for any holes where it may be leaking. The rubber boot in your washer can be accessed only when you remove the front panel. This requires the removal first of the top panel then the console. Also check your inlet hoses on the outside of machine, also check the connections inside the panel in back.

Thank you !!

Rubber Seal leaks

You have to replace the whole door seal.It can be done through the port hole, difficult but achievable or you can strip the front of the appliance off and do the inner part easier.

Unplug the appliance.

Open the door and take the seal retaining ring out of the door seal.

Peel the door seal off the front panel and fold it inside.

Take the seal retaining ring/spring out of the tub side of the seal.

Pull the seal off and take it out of the appliance.

Fit the new seal to the tub, look at the seal and tub for matching arrow marks to help align it.

Fit the retaining ring/spring into the groove in the seal and over the lip of the tub.

Fit the seal to the front panel and then fit the retaining ring into the seal.

Restore the power to the appliance and leak test it.

If you find you can't get the seal on.

Take the top off the appliance.

Take the dispenser out.

Take out the screws revealed.

Take out the screws holding the door lock.

Take off the plastic cover below the door and remove the screws revealed.

Take the front panel off.

If the panel won't come down and off there will be a hidden screw that requires the facia panel to be removed. It's snap together plastic, just release the catches and carefully remove the facia.

Take the screw out, take the panel off.

Fit the inner part of the seal to the tub.

Reassemble the front of the appliance.

Fit the seal to the front.

Leak test the appliance.

Whirlpool Duet washer will not start . Hear a clicking noise then receive DL F fault

The clicking sound is coming from the door lock/switch assembly trying to lock the door but it cannot. After six trials, the error code "FdL" shows up on the display. Press PAUSE/CANCEL button twice to clear it.

The only way to fix the problem is by replacing the door lock/switch assembly with part numer 8181700 and costs about $40-$55. Some vendors listed it as part number 1094190 or PS972231. Below is the replacement procedure.

Door Lock/Switch Replacement Procedure
  1. Unplug the machine and open the door.
  2. Stretch the retainer spring of the seal boot retaining hoop then remove it. The seal boot is the gray rubber around the door opening. The retaining spring is located at the bottom of the door opening. The door lock/switch assembly is located on the right side of the door opening.
  3. Ease the part of the seal boot off the lip of the door opening near the door lock/switch assembly. Remove enough of the seal boot to gain access to the door lock/switch assembly behind the front panel of the washer. Be careful not to tear the seal boot because it will cause water to leak from the tub.
  4. Remove the three screws securing the door lock/switch assembly to the front panel.
  5. Lift the door lock/switch assembly and pull it away from the front panel then pull it out of the machine.
  6. Disconnect the wiring harness connector and connect the new door lock/switch assembly.
  7. Reinstall the new door lock/switch assembly and the seal boot in reverse order of the procedure above.

Leaking out the front, what should I do?

If the water is coming from under the door, you need to scrub the glass door and the rubber boot. Scum builds up on the glass especially and doesn't allow for a tight seal. If this does not repair the leak then you have either a bad door hinge or a bad boot assembly. The boot is a pretty involved repair and usually should be done by a technician, although I have seen some customers replace it themselves. If the leak is coming from behind the front bottom access panel then you need to remove the front access panel(three screws on the bottom of the panel) and see where the leak is coming from. Inspect every inch of your rubber boot to see if their is a hole in the boot. Let me know if you need more advice

A HOLE IN THE RUBBER SEAL

You can certainly diy. Unplug the washer. With the door open, look at the bottom of the seal. You'll see a ring clamp. Loosen the screw and remove the clamp. Peel the seal inward. It is easier to complete the seal swap with the front off. Remove the door and set aside. Locate the screws for the front of the machine and remove them, gaining access to the seal. Youcan either set the door to the side with the door lock wires still attached, or unclip them, which is easier. With the seal folded inward, you will likely find another clamp at the bottom. Loosen this as well. Remove the seal and replace with the new one, making sure to orient it like the old one was, and fold it to the inside like you had the old one for removal. Replace the front panel. Complete the seal installation, being careful to make sure that the clamp removed earlier gets put back in the groove and seats well. Reinstall the door. The door leaks on my whirlpool front load model wfw8300sw03, looks like the door isnt sealing tightly, if I push on the door it stops lealing, any ideas?

you might have a bent door hinge, but most likely you have a worn door boot. its the grey rubber thing that the glass seals to.
try to lift up on the door to get the hinges back into place and if that doesnt work then you might need to replace the door boot.
look at the edge of the boot where the glass hits it. the glass must seal to the rubber and if the rubber is worn or torn then it wont seal.
not an easy piece to replace but it can be done. i wouldnt recommend trying it first as you will find it very tight to get your hands into and the clamps are hard to figure out as well.
