SOURCE: Have a Rona electronic lock (Weiser) and the key

First, I fix this problem after an hour of try.

I conclude that this dorr lock is better that is appear. Is not a 2 codes door lock, it's a 3 codes one.. and the problem you have is the third code not reset. You can put the same code in each third emplacement. you have just to press the program button 3 time for the third code...

I determinate that I put the third code by error the was i program it the firs time.

;-)

I guide you...

  1. To program the first code, press the reset button once, then enter your 4-8 digit code on the exterior keypad, then immediately press the middle lock button on the exterior keypad. You will hear a beep. This signals that your code has been accepted.
  2. To program the second code, press the reset button twice , then enter your 4-8 digit code on the exterior keypad, then immediately press the middle lock button on the exterior keypad. You will hear a beep. This signals that your code has been accepted.
  3. To program the third code, press the reset button 3 time, then enter your 4-8 digit code on the exterior keypad, then immediately press the middle lock button on the exterior keypad. You will hear a beep. This signals that your code has been accepted.

I believe this is the link to RONA where you find your lock featured for sale:

Removing the cover is described and illustrated here:

"Press down on the inner battery cover (as indicated by red arrow in image below) to relieve tension on the bottom portion of the cover. While pushing down on the top of the battery cover, pull the bottom of the cover towards you to remove."

Need to know how to change batteries, I have ten properties with schlage keyless enties

It depends a bit on the lock and how it was installed.

For the Home locks with a panel on the interior of the door, remove two screws and take off the inside cover. These screws can be at the top and bottom or through the plate of the interior door handle. Then remove the 9V battery and install a new one. Put the cover back on and replace the handle, if needed, and the screws. (Do not use a cordless screwdiver - you could overtighten and strip the threads.)

Other installations have the battery inside the panel with the keypad on the exterior of the door. To access the battery compartment, you need to remove the interior door handle or lock. Then pull the keypad section out of the door. The 9V battery will be behind a coverplate on the back of the unit. This cover needs to be pivoted downwards to open the compartment.

The Schlage commercial offline locks (no computer monitoring) use AA alkaline batteries (4 or 8) in a block. The eight battery version has 4 batteries on each side of the block. These are all on the inside of the door. Remove one screw to get the cover off. Then remove two screws to get the battery holder off (this keeps the batteries from coming loose in the block). Replace all of the batteries and resecure both the battery holder and the cover panel.

For the consumer Schlage Locks manuals, see http://consumer.schlage.com/Service-Support/Pages/InstructionandManuals.aspx . For information on the Schlage commercial locks. see http://commercial.schlage.com/electronicsecurity.asp . The manuals are available in the Technical Library for each lock type.

I hope this helps.

I am trying to reset the password for the Rona deadbolt but cant find my manual. i need the steps

I looked for a Rona manual.

The Rona website has advertisements for air-travel miles, so I guess the page doesn't have enough space to show product manuals.

The descriptor-page uses 99 words to describe the digital deadbolt in tiny print so there is no clue as to the operation of the product. Maybe they do that so you have to buy another deadbolt to get the instructions.
There is a 'contact-us' page that lets you fill out your personal information to share with them so you can receive further run-around. But wait, the form doesn't work because it doesn't accept postal codes. Wow, but there is a phone number 1-866-283-2239
https://shop.rona.ca/member/customer-service

Best of all, the Rona website solicits their customers to become a dealer for this poorly represented product.

Bought a electronic deadbolt at Rona (Rona Collection). Installed it and i can open/close it with the remote control or a key. Can't open it by entering a code. I thought the factory code was 1234, but...

Rona Electronic Deadbolt Lock Instructions:
Default Master Code:123

Resetting Master PIN:
  • Remove batteries and put them back. You will hear a long beep and a short beep.
  • Press and hold the 0 button until you hear 3 long beeps and the LED flashes red for 3 seconds. You are now in program mode.
  • Within 10 seconds, key in a new master PIN (up to 12 digits) and press the UNLOCK button.
  • Key in the master PIN again and press the UNLOCK button. The LED will flash green for 1 second and the resetting is complete.

Adding a PIN:
  • Key in master PIN and press UNLOCK button
  • Press and hold 0 button until you hear 2 short beeps and the LED flashes for 3 seconds.
  • Release 0 button and you are in the Add PIN mode
  • Within 10 seconds, enter a new PIN and press the UNLOCK button. You will hear one beep.
  • Key in the new PIN again and press the UNLOCK button twice. When the LED stops flashing the PIN has been added.

I have the rona keyless entry lock (with single numbers on the front to enter our code.) For some reason, I cannot get it to change the code and have since lost my instructions. Can you please tell me...

remove all batteries then press any button on the keypad 3 times.Wait 10 seconds then replace batteries. You should hear a long beep followed by a short beep then press and hold the 0 button for 3 seconds. Red LED should flash 3 times and you should hear 3 long beeps. Now release the 0 button. Now enter new Master code (4-12 digits) followed by the LOCK button. You only have 15 secs to do this. LED should flash green once followed by a melody tone. Good luck

Rona electronic dead bolt put new code in and it will lock but all that is needed is to push unlock button to unlock no code is needed

this lock now has an automatic 'handling' determination.

the instruction manual is slightly incorrect.

you should insert 3 of he 4 batteries and press and hold c and the lock buttons. while holding, insert the final battery. the lock will do a few lock attempts and then finally the bolt will slide the correct way and then a melody will play to confirm function

Power supply Problem

99.9% of all keyless locks do have a key tumbler, so in the event of a loss of battery power, you can still open and lock the lockset with a standard key. Most all key-less locks will indicate that the battery is getting low and needs to be changed, if you don't change the batery is time, the only way to open/close the lock defaults back to the actual key.

There is usually an access panel on the inside side of the lock that is opened by either sliding up or down on the panel, or removing the screw holding the cover in place or prying off the cover plate so you can get to the battery.

Remember the reason for having installed a "key-less" lock is to allow authorized access (family, friends, employees, etc.) to something without having to have duplicate keys that can be lost or stolen and to prevent having to re-key locks everytime something changes.
