Someone cut the wire on my outside security camera. inside the cord there is 1 white covered wire,1 yellow and one with no rubber cover around it. i NEED TO KNOW what each wire is for so i may rewire it to enable again.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: camera lens cover is sticky
Try blowing lots of compressed air around the open lens shutter to clean the mechanism. Or use a hair dryer for a few seconds (don't want to heat up the camera). Also with the lens barrel extended and pointed downward, tap the lens barrel with a pencil while you extend and retract the lens by powering the camera on and off. A grain of sand in the mechanism is usually the culprit, and you want to try to dislodge it.
You can open it up, but only as a very last resort. The above procedures usually work if you try them enough. But for those particularly nasty stuck mechanisms, here's an example repair on a Canon Powershot A400 (do this at your own risk):

Diagram for aosmith motor b381 is here: http://www.electricmotorwarehouse.com/IMAGES/B381_connection.htm
However, I believe that this motor will be more efficient at 230v depending on load conditions. At 115v this motor will draw more amps and tend to run hot, but situation rules. Enjoy

So get ready with your screw driver.
I am posting a link below... will give you an idea of how to disassemble a A650... The assembly will of course be in the reverse direction.
Keep the screw carefully... You will only need to understand a part of the whole process.
Please do rate this solution and thanks for using FixYa.

SOURCE: Broken battery latch cover
no, is not practical to repair. you can do bigger mass what is now. only what you can do is secure cover with self-adhesive tape. if you not satisfied with this, go to service and pay repair.

Please go to this link for an online manual for your camera, by clicking here.
You will find that it includes an appendix B with links to HP accessories and online shopping for HP products.
If you have no luck there, I suggest you contact HP support directly (www.hp.com/support) and make a request by including the model number of your camera and the part number. (Found by looking here)
and possibly here.
Finally, you might have best luck trying to resolve this with a live person on the hp phone support line.(see user's guide for local numbers)
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!
