Under my location sources

turn off Use wireless networks

turn on Enable Gps satellites

Then you actually have to go outside turn it off and then back on (the g1 itself) OUTSIDE.

have you actually enabled the G1's GPS receiver within the phone ?
the GPS is not switched on out of the box aswell as Wifi and Bluetooth.
Try going into the settings and enabling the GPS Satellite receiver and then use the maps application to see if the Satellites can Triangulate your position and find where your at !

hope this helps :D

Under my location sources

turn off Use wireless networks

turn on Enable Gps satellites

-----------------------------------------

location by wireless network is very buggy and the phone will try to use that first instead of the gps, plus it will show just the location of the cell tower you are using for communication and not your actual location if it even comes up.

but If gps is just enabled it comes up fine every time.
