SOURCE: F 50

ya the F 50 code. I'm getting it too. open the that top control piece by taking a quarter inch nut driver and there are 3 screws in the back. You need an ohmmeter to check the resistance on the motor and the rps sensor. If you dont know how to use an ohmmeter then u probably wont benifit from this. There are 3 wires yellow red and blue. You need to see what you get between those. it needs to be 16 ohms if it is not then the motor might be bad. also check the resistance on the 6 brown wires if there is none between the brown on each end of the harness then the rps might be bad. i would recommend doing that and then calling whirlpool 1-800-253-1301. Thats what im going to do. Im getting 30.6 ohms on the motor and none on the rps sensor. so i figure one of them is bad or both of them are bad.and if it costs over 150 to fix then i will probably recommend it a total loss.

SOURCE: why my whirlpool washing machine wont spin model # LXR5432KQ0

If this is a Whirlpool manufactured TOP LOADER washing machine, a no spin problem can have several causes. Most commonly, this is caused by either a lid switch malfunction or a broken motor coupling. The following link explains how you can diagnose the problem and repair it yourself:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3965207-whirlpool_top_loader_no_spin_problem

Read through the link provided and let me know if you have any questions. I have included parts resources and instructions on how to replace each part as well.

The part number for a replacement lid switch is 3949247. The motor coupling part number is 285753A.

If you have questions, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

SOURCE: my whirlpool cabrio is readibg LD wont drain or

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. If your washer doesn't drain or spin, you may read and learn what parts may cause this. First, you will want to check your water pump. You need to make sure it is working. Make sure you check the belt on the pump. Make sure it is not broken or loose. Also, make sure your pulley is not stuck in place. Sometimes, they will stick or barely turn at all. If this is the case, you will need to replace it. If the pump, pulley, and belt are working, make sure your motor is working. You should be able to hear it if it is. If it isn't, check your lid switch. The lid switch can cause the motor to not work. It may need adjusted. If not, go ahead and change it. A bad lid switch may cause the washer to not work at all. Now, if your pump is pumping and the washer still won't spin, you will want to check your belt and clutch. Once again, the belt may be broke or loose. Check to make sure your clutch is not worn also. This may be a case of a bad lid switch again as well. You could have a bad drive motor. This is what controls spinning, draining, and agitation. You could have a broken motor coupler. Over time, they will go bad and need replaced. It is possible that your transmission is slipping or damaged. And lastly, you could have a bad basket drive ir spin bearing. This is what allows the inner tub to move. If this is the case, you will probably hear loud sounds or loud banging

SOURCE: whirlpool cabrio model wtw5500xw0 spins loud

The cabrio has a shaft that runs between the wash plate and the rotor located under the washer. The usual cause for noise during spin is something that has made it's way between the spin basket and tub. But it's best to try and determine if the noise is from under the washer or inside the washer, that way you aren't randomly taking things apart. See if you can pin point the location of the noise.

WTW5500XW0 fault code F2

F2 indicates a keypad/user interface failure on a cabrio washer according to the service manual a word of caution on this error code even though it says keypad/user interface I have seen it turn out to be the central control unit only way to know is to change keypad/interface first if that doesn't solve problem then control since most parts dealers will not accept returns on electrical parts and these parts are not cheap using a service company may in the long run be cheaper they can change the part and pull it back out if problem isn't corrected.

Whirlpool Cabrio Model WTW6400SW2 Fault F50, Motor Control board shows no sign of any damage. Could mu problem be the RPS sensor? Motor simply wont turn

The F50 error code indicates that the RPS (rotor position sensor) detects no motor rotation. Check to see if the basket spins freely. If not, you could have an item caught between the outer tub and the inner spin basket. A toy or other item underneath the washer could also prevent the basket from spinning and would result in this F50 code.

If the basket spins freely, you could have a wiring failure that would prevent the motor from spinning.
