Make sure you have the correct keyboard and mouse selected
you might have to uninstall your keyboard and mouse then restart your computer and reinstall them make sure that you have there drivers backed up on a disk before uninstalling them
click start control panel,keyboard select hardware you will see which keyboard it is this will also apply to your mouse
also select properties,general you will have options to troubleshoot,driver roll back uninstall ,update driver
or click start control panel administrive tools computer managent device manager scroll to keyboard you could see a yellow question mark? right click to install drivers
make sure the leads are securely seated and are not bad/faulty

How to avoid formatting your PC ?


Sometimes your Windows crashes or has corrupt system files & will not boot into windows. At this point, you may need to format PC or laptop (assuming you have tried all other options such as going into safe mode etc)

However if you don't have enough time or the CDs needed therefore no need to panic. I'll just tell you something having 80%+ chances to work.
You'll need another good working PC. Remove your affected Hard Disk, put it in another PC or plug it using an USB external casing.
Now, power on the PC. On booting the PC having the correct system will detect System errors etc... & recover,restore system files. If it doesn't correct the errors go to 'my computer/select the HDD/ properties/tools & check your HDD errors!
It'll be more than 80% chance that it works! I have tried it on many PCs & believe me it really helps.

Keyboard won't work out of the box installed wireless mouse works


first is it a ps/2 keyboard or usb if it is a ps/2 there is spot that is colored purple on the back u need to plug it in there and if it is usb u need to plug it into a usb spot and after you do either of the two u need to restart the desktop to have it work

Hello,

You should check your monitors connection to the pc. If the connection is good, you will need to do one of two things:

1. Try using a monitor that you know works. If that monitor works on your pc then your other monitor needs replacing.

2. If you connect another good monitor to the pc and it does not work, you will need to replace your video card in your pc.

Speakers always needs a power source, if headphone is working perfect then everything is perfect, sound drivers are also perfect.

LG KP220 PC SUITE?


Finally, after spending 2 days on this issue, I am now able to back up my phone book on LG KP220 to my PC!  Hurray!
I have now used the pc sync software on Windows Vista as well as Windows XP (SP3) without any issues.
For Windows XP (SP3): ----------------------------------
After installing the driver, all you need to do is make sure that USBSER.SYS file has the following specs:
Size: 22,768 bytes     Version: 5.0.2195.4858
The newer one (which has the following specs) does not work and needs to be replaced with the older one with above specs.
Size: 26,221 bytes      Version: 5.1.2600.5512
(yes, for some reason, the older version works and newer does not)
For windows vista: -------------------------- When you first connect the phone in COM mode, let vista download the driver from the internet.  Then run PC Sync and viola it'll work!
For both: ------------ For running as a USB flash drive (data mode), you don't need any driver in either o/s. For running as a COM port (phone mode), you need a driver and a software.  The driver I'm using is USBSER.SYS and the software is called "Phone Suite" by MediaTek.  I've also tried a slightly older version of the same software called "PC Sync Manager" and that also works.  Other software should also work, as long as the driver is working correctly!

I am not sure how to get my modem to work on the main pc it works on the laptop?


if it is external modem you need to install drivers for it to main pc.
if main pc has internal modem same applies drivers needed search google for them

My usb won't work on my pc. What driver do I need to make it work? It is 2.0gb


if you are using windows 98 then you have to install the driver.in xp no need of drivers.try your usb in another pc if it is working then you should try in all the ports.please post your findings so that we can help you more

Hey, what you need to to do is download an application called Activesync. It will open up as soon as you plug in your ipaq and I bet you the rest will be history. It worked for me.
