Try pressing '1' and '2' together on the control pad. The control pad will flash to let you know that it is trying to sync with the wii

what you need to do is replace batteries in a controller and if it still doesn't work then you need to sync the controller to the wii.

Cannot get curser to show on screen

This could very possibly be an issue with the sensor bar. Try these steps:
  1. First, ensure your sensor bar is plugged into the console and oriented properly! Take a look at this picture to see how it's supposed to be facing (NOTE: you will NOT see the purple lights even if your sensor bar is working!! These are ultraviolet lights and are not detectable to the human eye!) Click here for the picture.
  2. Make sure your Wii remote is on and has new batteries! Older batteries decrease the strength of the light that the Wii remote gives off that it uses to communicate with your sensor bar.
  3. Assuming these things work, consider increasing the sensitivity of your sensor bar. Directions for how to do this have been posted online by Nintendo here.
If none of this works, chances are there's something wrong with your sensor bar, Wii remote, or a combination of both. Replace the sensor bar before replacing anything else. If that doesn't work, get a new Wii remote. Good luck!

We have a Nintendo Wii and no the remote controls aren't working with the console. Ihave tried replacing batteries. Do I need new remote controls or a new charger for the controls?

If your remotes are showing power lights at the bottom when you press buttons, then you may have a problem with the sensor bar that receives signals from the remotes.
First, try unplugging and plugging back in the sensor bar to the Wii. If it still doesn't work, the next step would be to replace the sensor bar. You can find them just about anywhere you buy Wii accessories and they are fairly cheap.

Controllers will not work ,have tried new batteries no change

The problem might be the Wii Sensor bar or it could be something else blocking the signal but it's very unlikely. Try using someone else's Sensor bar if they have one and if that works then all you need to do is go out and buy a new one they usually cost about £15 ($23) so I hope this helps.

Wii controller will not sync with Wii console

Have you tried the new controller method? It consists of pressing the red button behind the wii console and then pressing the 1 and 2 buttons simultaneously.

Wii Remotes

Could it be an issue with your sensor bar on top of the TV? That could explain why you'd be having the issue with more than one remote all of a sudden.
