The rotor position sensor is faulty or corroded. You will need to remove the motor to access the RPS. It is a small electronic board that slides onto the coils of the motor.

I have the same problem , was told that it is the RPS rotary positioning system, cost about $200 to get someone out to fix it.
Although I did reboot it and it went through the wash ok.

SOURCE: Error Code 49 on Fisher & Paykel Intuitive Eco

Fault 49 usually points to the cold inlet valve, either open circuit or not connected correctly. I often come across machines that the motor controller is the problem too.

LG Intuition won't turn on, black screen, pulsing lower buttons

Lg Intuition won't turn on...
That happens to my and I tried to many different things like different chargers, reset, overcharging etc etc...
But I was about to sell it as parts when I decide to swap battery with my brothers intuition phone...
Its not hard to do it you can do it yourself. ..just remove the screws in the bottom and carefully release the battery cover(don't broke it cuz it works as ANTENNA)
remove the screw that is covering the battery plug then unplug the battery...remove it and insert the other one...LISTO!!!!!
do the same process with ur battery in other intuition phone...
What happens ita that the battery has a chip that block the connection with the phone when you let it die so after the battery detects a different device it reset itself. ..hope this help you people...any questions let me know...also the best place to buy a battery is calling LG CORPORATION. ..it retails around $20-$25

My Rheem water heater is giving a ECO failure, How can I fix this?

Question posted under Rheem water heater.
Model number and gas valve are unknown. Add a comment.

Following information applies to typical tank-type gas water heater, and does not apply to tankless water heaters, boilers, indirect heaters, solar water heaters, etc or for electric water heater.

Electric water heater ECO is located on upper thermostat.
Open top cover and ECO can be reset by pushing in red reset button,
Or ECO can be replaced by replacing thermostat. Add a comment.

Open following link to see typical tank-type gas water heater ECOs:
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Intellivent-ECO-900.jpg
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Typical-gas-valve-500.jpg

The ECO will trip at 180-200 degrees F.
This happens when the thermostat fails, then the burner stays on, and the water will continue heating.

With most water heaters, the ECO is one-time use device and the gas control valve is replaced.
Some water heaters have resettable ECO, but the overheating problem has to be solved.
Each water heater is different.
Contact Rheem or read manual for correct procedure.

If you have intellivent gas control valve, open following links for typical service manual:

Automatic restart is not working. Seems to keep saying eco problem...I thinl...the code is four flashes followed by two flashes.

Gas control valve is not identified, so error code is not known.
ECO means energy cut off.
Energy cut off happens when gas control valve thermostat has gone bad, or when gas control senses runaway heating inside combustion chamber.
Newer heaters have resettable ECO for combustion overheat. This reset is typically located on combustion chamber door and is round and has two wires that connect back to gas control. Generally you have to clean combustion chamber and tubes and catch up on maintenance, then reset ECO, then fire up heater again to see if problem is resolved.

http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Typical-gas-valve-500.jpg

Newer heater does not have reset for bad thermostat, and in that case you replace gas control valve thermostat.
Older heater does not have reset, and combustion chamber and parts are cleaned, and gas control valve thermostat is replaced.
Your manual is best place to start troubleshoot.

Low voltage to eco from switch board will not hold valve open

That 12VDC voltage comes from battery and/or converter. Try unhooking battery while plugged in, and see if lights stay bright, as well as check voltage at screw terminals where fuses are in fuse/breaker panel. I f voltage low from converter, check the main fuses at converter. Be sure to check all fuses to circuits as well. You may have a bad or corroded connection from fuse panel to ECO as well. Remove wire from opposite side of ECO where it runs to gas valve, and see if voltage returns to acceptable range, indicating poor connection to valve, or valve drawing too much current.
Let me know what you find.
