Clarion how to install

Remove the old radio from the car, buy a radio installation kit and wiring harness and antenna adapter (if necessary). Wire the Clarion and adapter harness together, mount it into the dash kit and put the dash back together.

I feel I have given you more info that you gave us.

I need a wiring diagram for the wiring harness to the original stereo. the one i looked up gave me colors that are not even there.

the best thing to do is stop by a Walmart or Radio shack and pickup a install kit for your car and then you have what you need some auto part stores have them as well

05 grand what do i need to install a aftermarket radio

Get a wiring harness adapter kit (about $10) from a stereo shop. It has harness plugs that will plug directly into your harnesses in the dash, and has color-coded wires that you will color-match to the wires on the aftermarket deck's harness. You may need an antenna adapter as well. If your stock stereo face is taller than the aftermarket one, you'll need a dashboard adapter kit to take up the extra space.

Scosche - Aftermarket In-Dash Installation Kit questions

The radio should have come with its own wiring harness as well. The install kit will have a wiring harness that connects to the factory harness the original radio is connected to. You need the Kenwood harness and match the colors of the harness to the colors on the install kit harness. They should be crimped to make sure you have a solid connection and do not let any loose wires hang out anywhere. Then it is a good idea to use electrical tape and insulate each wire, then tape them all together for easier installation.

If you do not understand how to do this, you really should take it to someplace that installs radios, they can do it quickly and easily. No worries then about if you have made any mistakes. I have seen many a radio in my shop needing repair from people who thought it was easy to install a radio, but didn't really know how to do it. One mistake can end up costing more than buying a new radio.

let me know if you need any more help.

What wiring harness and deck install kit?

you should be able to look it up at the place of purchase, stores like wal-mart have books with info for the specific vehicle, online like crutchfield will probably tell you everything you need.
