This is an unanswered direct ask to user smellofpoo. There is no problem to explain more clearly. Perhaps if you reread it, you will understand. It is self explanatory.

Hi I have a Luxman L-530 intagrated amp one of the big filter capacitors has leeked some stuff out of the bottom is that bad? the amp seem's ok no hum sounds good should i replace it any way? are they...

There must be 2 capacitors like this one. Since these capacitor are responsible not only for filtering but for continuity of the DC power that the electronics use, I suggest you to replace both of them. The cost isn't too much (you can take a look at this link, but at your area may find more solutions). In very simple words, these particular electrolytic capacitors works like "tank" and give the electricity to the device whenever is a need. You can try to use high volumes and increase the bass and you will see that you amplifier is like "loosing power supply". Keep in mind that the values (microfarad and Volts, this is for wv) are not critical and you can use any value HIGHER than the existing one, assuming that the capacitor can be settled down at it's place.

NAD C370 distortion.

It looks like you may shorted some part of the audio circuitry, Most likely you will have to replace the entire board (easier option).

If you can find a replacement board, it shouldn't be too hard to replace, if you have had prior experience with electronics. However,i think it is best you let an experienced electronics repair guy do this for you.

hope that helps..

Is there volume adjustments on a technics amp model se-tx100?

Technics SE-TX100 is a power amplifier and has no volume controls on it. Uoy can control the volume from the preamplifier tha will give the signal at SE-TX100.

Amp power outlet

Ususally this fuse (if there is one) is located near or in the socket. Unfortunateley I don't have a photo to discribe to you, but it might be under the black counterclockwise cap or at one square area just under (or above) the socket.

Try reverse connecting the channels, in order to locate where is the problem; at the cables or at the amplifier.

Hello, I am trying to plug my Mixer into my amp but only one speaker has sound..I am using a Rane ttm57sl mixer with technics turntables & cambridge audio azur 640a amp...I've gone from the Aux out on...

Why don't you try using the main outputs (the 2 XLR connectors). With 2 cables connect these two (left - right) outputs at your amplifier's aux in. In that case take care that the "output level" of the mixer works like master volume controlfor the signal that the mixer sends to the amplifier.

Behringer pmp2000 europower no sound

Probably the power amp has arced and popped a lot of components.

When teh amps go usually the final pwer transistors, their drivers and sometimes even the power supply gets zapped.

Check the output of the preamp at the inserts for the final amp with headphones to see if anything is coming through.

Hi david880

First trick to try is turning the amp off completely by disconnecting it at the wall for 10 mins. Then reconnect and see what happens. You may have had a power flip that has corrupted the program counter in the microprocessor stages of the amp. powering it down completely will reset the amp and processor, hopefully solving your problem. If it does not, please get straight back to me here before you rate this solution(suggestion at this point)and we can talk further. .

Monster Amplifier MPA 3250

Hi rrogers1958

Not to discount what your tech has already said, there are a few things that can cause hum. Just want to get info direct from you regarding this problem. Then, I can attempt to point you in the right direction if you can provide me with answers of a few questions

  1. is the hum still there when you disconnect the inputs
  2. does the hum increase in vol when you turn up the preamp
  3. does the amp run hotter than normal
  4. is the problem on both channels
  5. did any event or contributing factor induce the hum or did it just start out of the blue
  6. do you have any warranty on the amp
If you could answer these questions for me, then I will convey what I think to you. Cheers

robotek

Monster mpa 5150 ss amp

As It was mentioned on the premium post, if after removing the fuse(s) from it, the amp powers up and stays ON; the failure is on the transistors or mosfets and they will need to be replace to get the amp working again on channel 4.
I would suggest to contact the manufacturers to get an authorized repair center to fix it under warranty if your amp is less then a year old.
Good Luck.
