I have a targus AMU0901US mini mouse, and it had been working perfectly on my laptop but today when I turned on my computer it just didn't work anymore. A friend of mine told to unplug my computer from the power outlet and let it for a few minutes, then to plug it again and plug my mouse back too, but it didn't work. it doesn't lit or anything.

SOURCE: usb mouse drivers
Go to device mgr and verify that the port in question is always on. Look in device mgr after installing mouse in desired USB and verify that windows has detected it. Typically, there is no additional drivers needed for this type of application, but check with the mfr of the mouse to be sure...accordianman
