Question about Cell Phones
Posted by Anonymous on
Just had to do this fix for my LG800. While the phone is on, press and hold the turn off button on top until the Trac Fone "signature" comes on and shuts the phone off. Then restart. The "system" will correct and display the correct time for you. 11-3-2013

Sorry, this isn't a solution, but my phone is so "hateful" that it has both dimmed the time and date setting options, as well as throwing that "no service" icon up on the screen, thus preventing me from calling customer service and fixing the problem. How's that strike you--a problem that is actually trying to AVOID being solved!

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I had the same problem. I had the phone on when I called to set up initial service. After activation I left it on (it was charging) and tried to set time and date but couldn't get anywhere. Finally, I turned it off (hold "pwr / end" button till it turns off). When I turned it back on I got a message that time and date were now automatically set. This was about an hour and a half after intial phone call. Don't know if that wait time had anything to do with it.

try turning it off, removing the battery, waiting a little while, and putting the battery back in. If that doesn't work you'll have to call customer service, who (if you get someone who knows what they're doing) will probably give you a bunch of numbers to put in to code entry mode.

press the center button. Then press the down arrow. when you get to 'recent calls' then press 'select.' You will have three choices, select received or sent or missed. When the call comes up, then press the center button again and you should have a choice of deleting that call. Press yes, the white dot on the right.
