Question about D-Link DGS 1005D (DGS-1005D) 5x1000 Mbps Networking Switch
My teenage sons wanted me to buy a new router as i have fine internet speed with optus cable, but the xbox and computer were lagging to much. I went and brought a d - link dgs 10005d router and the xbox live is not connecting to ip address. Can i get help with this as i am all new to this
Is the PC's connected to the D-Link able to browse the Internet? Sometimes the MAC Address will bind to certain IP's and must be cleared out when the Router is replaced. Please unplug the power to the router, X-Box and Cable or DSL modem. 1st plug in the power to the DSL/Cable modem until the "Ready" light comes on. 2nd plug in the power to the D-Link Router, wait 30 seconds then plug in the X-Box, power on and test. If a computer plugged into the D-Link will browse Internet then this is the solution to your problem.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
