TV screen on video 2 and remote died

How do I manually get our tv off Video 2 and on to channels so I can watch tv? Remote died while children had tv on Video 2 to watch a movie. Went to menu manually but choosing antenna was not an option. When we chose Menu, here are the options: clock audio (r) picture/sound initial channel (r) antenna (r) channel search (r) channel scan memory (r) menu language The ones with a (r) next to them appear in red. Can't access those options at all. Pravin suggested using Menu to select Imput but it is not an option. Now what?! thanks, LAJ

Re: TV screen on video 2 and remote died

The only way your going to change the video mode is with the original remote. If you need another remote go to or call 1800 remotes Theres a button on the upper left hand side of the remote called video mode. A universal most of the time will not work this function. You could ask around to your friends and buddies or relitives if anyone has a working Sanyo remote or go to a local retailer that sells Sanyo and see if he would let you borrow one for a little while so you can switch out of the video mode. Good Luck

Channel three is missing

Hi pasu, Normally if you can get/program Chs 2 and/or 4 as well the other channels, then Ch 3 should also be programmable. If this is not possible, perhaps you can try to manually program by selecting "03" and add to the memory "+" in some brands/model. If this is still a no go, perhaps you should seek the services of qualified professional since this would apparently be an internal software problem. You can also try a hard/full reset by unplugging the TV from the mains for couple of hours or as prescribed by your TV's user manual. If the TV has Video input features, a possible temporary work around the TV's Ch3 problem is to use the Video1 or the Audio/Video INput of your TV and use an old VCR to connect to your cable box. Remove the coaxial cable from your cable box to your TV and connect it to the RF/TV INput of your VCR. Use a 3 way RCA to RCA connector (usually Yellow, Red & White) to couple the Audio/Video OUTput of the VCR to the Audio/Video INput of the TV. Select Video mode in your TV (so it doesn't matter even if you cannot program Ch3). Power up your VCR, select Ch3 in your VCR's tuner. I assume that to select channels you wish to view, you use a remote and channel selection is done in your cable box. What worries me is "...went to a fuzzy black and white screen..." which is indicative of another fault. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turn up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.

Input problem

If you have the original remote, hit video, source, or input button, if it dont have them, then try to change the tv to channel 00 (zero or zerozero), if not then the channels might have to scroll to it, from channel 02 down to make it loop, if it goes to the next highest channel, then you need a remote. It may be set in the menu options to have the video source not saved to your list of saved channels. when you scan the channels, the tv might not look for the A/V source (audio / video), maybe just the RF source. The 3 DVD RCA wires are 1 video and 2 stereo, one stereo for left and one stereo for right. The TV has only 2 , 1 for video and 1 for mono 1 channel sound. This wouldnt have anything to do with why you cant use the DVD player. but try that with the original remote (or a universal remote that is set to your tv set that has either video, input, source or something similar. It is what tells the tv to change from the cable source (RF) and the AV source (the Red White and Yellow plugs, in your TV's case, 2 plugs, one yellow and the other either red or white or something). Dont really know how to explain it much more but hope it helps.
