My printer is not working ,It has a E on the screen when i on the printer option.
The same thing happened to me. Wouldn't feed paper and the printer
function didn't work. The E was in the lower left of the screen. I tried the reset button on the back, but that didn't help.
I took
the ink cartridge out and reseated it and that fixed the problem. It
was installed incorrectly direct from the factory as my calculator was
new out of the box.

The calculator wouldn't take the paper but when he cut the corners off the paper to make a blunt "V", it grabbed the paper right away and pulled it through.

I was able to find the manual for the Canon P23 DH V calculator on www.devicemanuals.com. I also saw a solution on your site to go to Canon and search for downloads. I tried that but was having trouble getting the actual download. Thank you for the service you offer.

Put paper roll on paper arm with the end of the paper coming down from behind. Cut paper on a diagonal. Insert the paper into the **** at the back of the calculator. You need to really look to see it. Use the feed button to feed the paper through..

Rather than try to describe the process (through this slot and over that), I'll suggest you follow the illustrated instructions in the manual you can download from http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=346&modelid=15431

If you can't find yours, you can download a new copy of the manual from the manufacturer's web site at http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=346&modelid=15431
