Question about Denon AVR-3300 Receiver

No sound from Sub.... from my Denon AVR-2700, not AVR-3300, Yeah its old!

My brother gave me this reciever, along with 2 fronts speakers, 2 rear speakers, a center speaker, and a sub. I also have the clunky remote control. It's free so why not use it? I didnt have one before... anyways.... My problem seems to be my sub. I can't seem to get any sound from it, The sub is a KLH S200ETH. All of this is old but they all are working. I can turn the loudness of the channels up even on the subwoofer, but there's still no sound. I have no manual, nothing else came with it. Can someone please help me? How do i turn on this thing? Also I have no idea how to run a sound test on this thing. Someone please help!?!

Most of Denon receiver are on screen configuration. There should be an onscreen output in the back of the receiver, connect the video cable from that output to the tv and press the oncreen button on the remote to config. There s/b an option to turn the sub on. good luck

If the subwoofer is on in the reciecer settings then maybe the amp is not getting the signal or the amp is not amplifying
try unplugging the output of the sub then turn off the reciever for a min. then turn it on wait , then plug the sub in
if that don't work then test the sub output with a stereo that has a audio input
also test the subwoofer with a audio output to it( only a positive and a negitive wire for sub)

Connecting a passive subwoofer to a denon 2113

you need another reciever/amp to power that sub, because that denon reciever is designed for a powered sub,. if you have another old reciever/amp laying around, you can connect the sub out from the denon into an auxillary input of any old reciever/amp, (switched to that input) with speaker wires from old reciever/amp to the passive sub

Denon 785 reciever the subwoofer is producing no bass. Did tone check check all conections. Is it possible could be malfunction with reciver?

Is EVERYTHING in this scenario new (unknown functionality)?

You don't say what the result of the tone check was, nor do you identify the sub.

If your unnamed sub uses Line Level inputs just run one of the AVR's Tape Out's to it to prove the sub works. IT WILL BE LOUD since no volume control is in line with generic Line Outs. If it uses speaker level input, just run a speaker pair to it from the front channel. THEN you will know in which direction to proceed.

I've had my Denon AVR-2308CI receiver for 3 years and last week I turned it on to watch a movie and there is no sound coming from my rear speakers? I have a 5 speaker set up (3 in front and 2 in the rear)...

On the front display of the unit, you should have indicator icons that light up if a speaker is being used. Are there only 3 speakers lite up, or are there 5? As a quick check, make sure your speaker connections are secure, and then make sure your surround mode is set to a 5 channel surround mode. 5 channel Stereo is a good one to test with. Also, you can hit the "test" button to see if the speakers are connected and working, it will give a test signal out of each speaker independently. Let me know what you find, and I can answer more.

Denon AVR-1706 Left Front and Rear speakers stopped working. Any suggestions?

go into the settings menu and do a sound test using the recievers pink noise tester to test each speaker connected, if while doing this test you still get no sound from those two speakers check connections, make sure speakers are not blown.
if speakers and connections are good then the reciever needs repair

No surround sound from my Denon 3805

well as long as all signals are routed through the Denon your on the right track, now what else you have to do is connect all devices to the reciever do not loop one device through another. Also you have to try the different surround fields to hear the one you like the best for music I use 5Ch stereo for movies the surround field varies based on the type of movie

Speaker connection from Denon AVR 2105 to Wharfedale suround

The spkrs sound like they are bi-amp spkrs, meaning you have multiple terminals on the backs of each spkr, the jumpers on the spkrs should be connected as such. Now you just connect the spkrs according to the Denon spkr conection diagram. Do not use the surround back unless you have 6 or 7 pair of spkrs

I don't have a powered sub! +other problems.Denon 2308

Unhook the sub ! center speaker is for front sounds like the people talking. and a sub is for the bass like a bomb going off SO hook your sub to the sub out on your reciever. As far as the vcr..are the vcr inputs on the denon yellow? if so thats a video in (or) out but if its red or white thats for the vcr sound .

Denon reciever avr-487

If your tv is putting out mono you will only get the center and sub speakers. This can be because the tv is only mono, or the output is set to mono in a menu of the tv. If you have cable or sat run the digital audio out to you receiver; it usually sound better that way anyhow. Set your receiver to Dolby mode for best sound.

B Speakers: Rear A Speakers and Sub stay on

First, check you wiring. Have you tried to turn off all speakers then turn on only the "B" set?

Might also be your "surround" settings. Try a "2" channel mode if available.
