Requestin replacementsize of belts for Sony TC WE305 cassette player, not a boombox

Cassette players use belts for the rew/ffw/play functions. The belts can be difficult to replace even in the relatively large space of a stereo component. Replacing the belts on a boombox is probably more difficult, but I have never tried. If everything else on the boombox is working, it is probably the belts. If you get some sound, but it's muddy, clean the tape heads with alcohol.

play the cassette in another player. you might have to change your setting on the player. you can also try a cassette cleaner/demagnatizer to clean the cassette. also try the sony webstie for answers

As far as I know, you need to press Record button to record from external source. If you press Dub, it will start Dubbing from Tape-A to Tape-B. You might be need to press Record and later press Pause or Play to start recording.

the problem is the clicking spring of the pinch roller,that pushing through the spindle,maybe is weak or is not there,try to find out inside the deck,if you cannot find it.Improvised a clicking spring by means of the string of the guitar number 00,is good of making spring.
