Question about JVC Televison & Video
The picture quality is not good. Could you recommend what the color, contrast, tint, brightness, backlight, etc should be set to in order to get the best picture? Flesh tones seem orange no matter what I do. What number level should I set each setting to for a good picture?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

On the inside of the TV, on the flyback transformer there should be two controls. Turn the one that says "screen" very slowly clockwise while looking at the pix. The pix should get brighter as you turn it up- if you go to far you will see lines in the pix or the TV may shutdown.

SOURCE: the picture looks bright blue
The only adjustment that would mess up the color of the image is the tint: it should be at 0, in the middle. If it's already there then the defect is in the image processor or the connections between the main board (the board on which the image processor is glued upon) and the t-con board. To identify which you must open the tv and reseat every single cable there. If no improvement is observed you will have to replace the main board at a cost of $145.
If you don't know how to do that then it will be better to take the tv to a repair shop: the connectors for the cables are fragile and they can be easily damaged if you don't disengage them the correct way.
