it seems that there might be something wrong with the carriage(track), eighter its damaged by bending or a notch breaking. I'd suggest you take it out an look at the track and see if its something that can be fixed.. its there ia a protrusion or obstruction it can be grounded off with a nail file, if the motor gear is off a bit you can try re-adjusting it.. other than that you will need to replace it.
MP4, MOV, H.264 are suitable formats for iPod. And u also need a video tool named Pavtube Video Converter to help u convert other movie files to a compatible format with iPod with good quality.

You need a composite video cable to the Clarion Video input. The usual ipod adapter is for audio only. If you have an AV ipod adapter and you still don't have video, the signal is not strong enough for the clarion to see it and you need a 12volt pre amp. you can find them online starting around 25. Hope this helps
