The file is associated from software vended by Accentive arcadedownloadmanger that must have been installed at some point. Go to control panel and see if there is an entry for this program that you can uninstall. Next goto Start, click in or on Run Command and type msconfig, look under the startup entries and services for an entry associated with this program.

There is a malware program that does use the same file name to disguise itself. However, since it is missing you want to disable any processes that remain that call for the missing file that may be a part of the virus pattern. To do this you will have to do a comprehensive virus scan and I recommend you use an online scanner as it has a "Secure" database..

Please refer to this help page here at FixYa for information and instructions on using an appropriate online virus scanner.

Good hunting.

My computer giving on access-protection:virus

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from the link below:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebyt...are_d5756.html

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application. (If the file won't run correctly, try renaming it to something else, like "gogetup.exe", then double click it to install it. Some variants of malware will prevent the "mbam-setup.exe" file from running.)

* Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full System Scan", then click Scan.
* The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.
* The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

You can download the file here: www.spotmau.com
This is a system restore file that seems to be missing.
1) Start your computer to Safe Mode with Command Prompt logging on as an account with administrator rights.

2) Type %systemroot%system32 estore strui.exe and Enter at the command prompt to start the System Restore feature.

i suggest you to ignore the first step if you cannot restart.

Ntoskrnl.exe is missing or corrupt solution

Issue:NTOSKRNL.EXE is missing or corrupt.
Related errors:
Below is a listing of the full error message that may be related to this error.
Windows NT could not start because the below file is missing or corrupt:
C:\Winnt\System32\Ntoskrnl.exe
Cause:
  1. Keyboard issue
  2. Miscellaneous corruption
  3. Corrupt boot.ini file.
  4. Missing boot.ini file.
  5. Missing or corrupt ntoskrnl.exe file.
  6. Windows NT installed on a partition bigger then 7.8GB
  7. Corrupted hard disk drive or severely corrupted Windows.
Solution:Keyboard issue
This issue has also been known to be caused by a short in the ground wire in the keyboard cable. Make sure this is not the cause of your error by replacing the keyboard with a different keyboard or simply just disconnecting the keyboard from the computer.
Miscellaneous corruption
Before trying any of the below recommendations it's recommend that you attempt to load the last known good configuration. Additional information about doing this can be found on document CH000626.
Corrupt boot.ini file
This issue is often caused when the boot.ini is missing or improperly configured. This issue often arises after a user has recently added or removed an operating system on the computer or added or removed hard disk drives in the computer.
Make sure the line pointing to the operating system and its drive and partition is properly configured in the [boot loader] and [operating systems] section. Additional information about boot.ini can be found on document CH000492.
Missing boot.ini file
Microsoft Windows XP users:
If the boot.ini is severely corrupted or missing a user running Microsoft Windows XP can rebuild the boot.ini to resolve this issue. Additional information about rebuilding the boot.ini can be found on document CH000648.
Microsoft Windows NT and Windows 2000 users:
To restore the original boot.ini file in Microsoft Windows NT or Windows 2000 you will need an ERD and follow the below steps. If you do not have an ERD you will be unable to follow these steps.
  1. Boot the computer with your Windows NT three setup diskettes or the Windows 2000 setup disc.
  2. In the setup menu, type R to start the repair.
  3. When prompted for the ERD diskette insert the diskette and inspect the startup environment.
Missing or corrupt ntoskrnl.exe file
If the ntoskrnl.exe file is corrupt or missing this can also generate the error. To restore this file follow the below steps.
  1. Insert the Microsoft Windows XP CD. Note: If you have a recovery CD or a restore CD and not a Microsoft Windows XP CD it is likely the below steps will not resolve your issue.
  2. Reboot the computer, as the computer is starting you should see a message to press any key to boot from the CD. When you see this message press any key.
  3. In the Microsoft Windows XP setup menu press the R key to enter the recovery console.
  4. Select the operating system you wish to fix, and then enter the administrator password.
  5. Type expand d:\i386\ntoskrnl.ex_ c:\windows\system32
  6. You will then be prompted if you wish to overwrite the file type Y and press enter to overwrite the file.
  7. Type exit to reboot the computer.
Windows NT installed on a partition bigger then 7.8GB
If you are running Microsoft windows NT 4.0 on a partition larger than 7.8GB this issue can occur if the boot files are located outside this limitation. When this error occurs your computer will have the error message as shown below.
OS Loader v4.01
Disk I/O error status=00000001
Windows NT could not start because the below file is missing or corrupt: winnt\system32\Ntoskrnl.exe
Please reinstall a copy of the above file.
If your system partition is larger than 7.8GB you will need to delete the partition and recreate the partition to 7.8GB or less. Additional information about this issue can be found on Microsoft KB Q224526.
Corrupted hard disk drive or severely corrupted Windows
Attempt to check the hard disk drive for any errors by running the chkdsk program. To do this follow the below steps.
  5. Once at the recovery console type chkdsk /r
  6. Once completed type exit and see if issue is resolved.
If after trying all of the above steps you are still encountering the same issue it's likely that Windows is severely corrupted and it is recommended you attempt to reinstall Windows. Additional information about erasing the computer and starting over can be found on document CH000186.
Finally, if during the Windows installation you encounter errors it's likely that your hard disk drive is bad.

How do i get rid of total security the bogus anti virus software?

  1. Print out these instructions as we will need to close every window that is open later in the fix. Due to this malware infecting Internet Explorer, it is suggested that you use Firefox or another browser when following these instructions.

  2. Before we can do anything we must first end the Total Security process so that it does not interfere with the cleaning process. To do this we must first download and install a Microsoft program called Process Explorer. Normally, we would have you use the Windows Task Manager, but this rogue will disable the ability to run it. Please download Process Explorer from the following link and save it to your desktop:

    Process Explorer Download Link

  3. You should now have the Procexp.exe file on your desktop. You now need to rename that file to iexplore.exe. To do this, right-click on the Procexp.exe and select Rename. You can now edit the name of the file and should name it to iexplorer.exe. Once it is renamed you should double-click on the file to launch it.

  4. Once the program is running, you should be presented with a screen similar to the one below.

    procexp.jpg

  5. Scroll through the list of running programs until you see a process named tsc.exe. When you see this process, select the tsc.exe process by left-clicking on it once so it becomes highlighted. Then click on the red X button as shown in the image below. Newer versions of this executable may be using names consisting of random numbers or characters. If you see a process that is composed of random numbers or characters and has a shield icon shield-icon.jpg or a padlock icon padlock-icon.jpg next to it, then you have found the process you need to terminate.

    tsc-process.jpg

  6. When you click on the red X to kill the process, Process Explorer will ask you to confirm if you are sure you want to terminate it as shown in the image below.

    procexp-confirm.jpg

At this point you should press the Yes button in order to kill the process.

  7. Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, or MBAM, from the following location and save it to your desktop:

    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Download Link

  8. Once downloaded, close all programs and Windows on your computer, including this one.

  9. Double-click on the icon on your desktop named mbam-setup.exe. This will start the installation of MBAM onto your computer.

  10. When the installation begins, keep following the prompts in order to continue with the installation process. Do not make any changes to default settings and when the program has finished installing, make sure you leave both the Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware checked. Then click on the Finish button.

  11. MBAM will now automatically start and you will see a message stating that you should update the program before performing a scan. As MBAM will automatically update itself after the install, you can press the OK button to close that box and you will now be at the main program as shown below.

    mbam.jpg

  12. On the Scanner tab, make sure the the Perform quick scan option is selected and then click on the Scan button to start scanning your computer for Total Security related files.

  13. MBAM will now start scanning your computer for malware. This process can take quite a while, so we suggest you go and do something else and periodically check on the status of the scan. When MBAM is scanning it will look like the image below.

    scanning.jpg

  14. When the scan is finished a message box will appear as shown in the image below.

    scan-finished.jpg

You should click on the OK button to close the message box and continue with the TotalSecurity removal process.

  15. You will now be back at the main Scanner screen. At this point you should click on the Show Results button.

  16. A screen displaying all the malware that the program found will be shown as seen in the image below. Please note that the infections found may be different than what is shown in the image.

    mbam-total-security.jpg

You should now click on the Remove Selected button to remove all the listed malware. MBAM will now delete all of the files and registry keys and add them to the programs quarantine. When removing the files, MBAM may require a reboot in order to remove some of them. If it displays a message stating that it needs to reboot, please allow it to do so. Once your computer has rebooted, and you are logged in, please continue with the rest of the steps.

  17. When MBAM has finished removing the malware, it will open the scan log and display it in Notepad. Review the log as desired, and then close the Notepad window.

  18. You can now exit the MBAM program.
Your computer should now be free of the TotalSecurity program. If your current anti-virus solution let this infection through, you may want to consider purchasing the PRO version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to protect against these types of threats in the future.
If you are still having problems with your computer after completing these instructions, then please follow the steps outlined in the topic linked below:

Missing or bad msacm32.dll file attributed to many files not running, i.e., setup.exe, rundll32.exe, Explorer.exe and many more. is there any way to fix it without reformatting

The answer depends on why these files are missing.

Can you boot the computer at all or into safe mode?

If so you could run the "System Restore Wizard" and restore your system to a point before this problem happened. You can find the system restore wizard in the windows help.

This should fix the problem if has been caused by a virus or an accidental file deletion but if your disk had bad blocks or something then it might need replacing.

If this does not solve the problem tell us more about the exact error message and when it occurs.

Missing apcmain exe.

If you have the install disk, try and boot from the disk and reinstall. To change boot order, press the key to enter bios. (different on different pc's) Common ones are f8, and delete. If you have valuable data on the Computer you dont want to lose, then use a recovery disk. (BartPe is a good one. Just google it.)
