Hello sir, routing fuel line for craftsman, homelite, ryobi, hedge and line trimmers, fuel tank under engine, looking at machine from rear, shall fuel line on left with filter attached goes to bottom port of carb, fuel line from right side coming out of tank with inside tip attached goes to bottom port of primmer bulb, top line on primmer bulb goes to top port of carb, fuel tank under engine, fuel line routing, looking at machine from left side, left fuel line coming out of tank(drain back only) goes to right side small port of primmer bulb, left side larger fuel line from primmer bulb to top port of carb, fuel line coming out of tank (larger line) on the right side with filter attached goes to bottom port of carb, when replacing fuel line it is very important to use the same ID and OD line the homelite takes a special line that is black in color and a bigger size, the bigger line is ID .08-OD140 small line ID3/32 X 3/16.when the lines dissolve small pieces will get in the carb clogging small passages and screen,it is advisable that you clean out carb, and use a new filter.hope this helps, any comments welcome, thank you. if the filter has broken off of the line half way that is where you will run out of fuel, ``

I need the fuel line routing diagram for a Craftsman Model No. 358.791510 Weedwacker 32cc/1.9 cu.in. 2-cycle

The fuel line in the tank connects to the nipple. It then goes into the small hole in the tank and then the fuel line from the carb connects to the nipple. This line is the line that is attached to the body of the carb, not near the plate.

Fuel pump issues, car won't start, but cranks. I want to know where the fuel pump is and how I can see if it is working properly. How do you diagnose the fuel system issues.

the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank.

I assume you don't have a fuel pressure gauge so the first thing you can do is climb under the vehicle and disconnect the plastic fuel line where it connects to the metal line about in the center of the van up where the front seats would be. Have a drain pan under this area to catch any fuel and be ready to be sprayed if there is fuel pressure in the line. Safety glasses would be a good idea and you can wrap a rag around the line right before you fully disconnect the two lines to help avoid spraying gas everywhere.

keep the drain pan under the area of the disconnected line. Turn the key on but do not start the vehicle. You should see gas spray out of the plastic line. If you don't you're on the right track.

If there is no fuel, reconnect the lines and look back by the fuel tank. You will see the harness. find the dark green with white wire. It is the power supply to the fuel pump. Check for power on that wire. If you have power than you have a bad pump.

If you have any questions let me know. Thank you for using Fixya.com!

I need a diagram for the fuel lines on 1997 kawasaki vulcan 750. i took the fuel lines loose and i don't know where they go

Hi.

There is no "diagram" showing the whole routing of fuel lines in the bike. You need to use different diagrams in Fuel System section of the service manual. Fuel system section starts at page 15 in service manual, but what you really need starts at page 40. I have posted fuel service manual at the end of comment.

There is one forum where users discussed the routing. One user has colored the diagram from service manual to indicate lines routing. Here the diagram:

ginko_149.jpg

Here the forum, I quote:

"The red and yellow are the fuel lines that go to the petcock. The green one you left unmarked also goes to the petcock. The line with a question mark is a vacuum line that connects to a part in front of the battery along with the larger lines to the cylinders."

Here the service manual in PDF format.

1 connect top carburetor line to short nipple on primer bulb.

3 connect remaining fuel line that comes out of fuel tank to the large nipple on primer bulb.

Hopes this helped Tim

I am replacing all the fuel line including primer bulb on a craftsman mini tiller/cultivator. is there a drawing or diagram to show which line goes where?

I see that this machine has a 2 stroke engine. These directions work on the 2-stroke engines of Sears trimmers. I've never seen a diagram but many explanations are out there.
The small diameter line out of fuel tank (has fuel filter in-tank on end) connects directly to the side of the carburetor that has the fuel pump....that is the cover without the hole in it. Other larger diameter fuel line out of tank connects to the longer nipple on the external purge/primer bulb. The bulb "pulls" fresh fuel from the fuel tank to the carb and then out of the carb to itself, where it then pushes any air/old fuel back into the fuel tank. The remaining larger diameter fuel line in this setup goes from the metering chamber (has cover with writing on it and a vent-hole) side of the carburetor to the smaller nipple on the purge/primer bulb. Again, on the primer bulb, the longer nipple has a line going directly from it to the tank. The shorter nipple on the bub has a line from it going to the metering chamber side of the carburetor. If the purge/primer bulb is on top of the carb...small line from carb body to small hole in tank with filter. Larger diameter line goes from the bulb on the fuel pump side of the carb to the larger hole in the fuel tank where the line is held in place with a nylon nipple connector that keeps the line from pulling out of the tank.
