Finepix Jv110 USB cable does not upload photos

I plug my camera into my laptop using the USB cable as it does not have a slot for an SD card and the laptop has no reaction. It has worked previously though.

SOURCE: Camera (Fuji FinePix 510) screen frozen on USB upload screen.

You may have bent a pin in the usb connector on the side of the camera. Check that, and if thats not it, I suggest taking it to a repair facility.

SOURCE: I cannot upload the photos from my finepix camera.

You need to uninstall and then re-install the software, a windows update or an improper shut down of your pc probably damaged part of the software.

Press the MENU/OK button to bring up the menu. Press cursor-left to select a left tab. Use cursor-up/down to select SET. Press cursor-right to enter the setup menu. Use cursor-up/down to select "DATE/TIME" and press cursor-right.

The full instructions are in "The Setup Menu" section of the manual (page 71 in my copy). If you need the manual, you can download one at
http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/manuals/pdf/index/j/finepix_jv150_manual_01.pdf
(Yes, the filename says "jv150", but it's the manual for the JV100-series cameras).

How do i upload from a fuji camera memory card

If your Fuji Camera uses an SD card then you can insert the SD card on the SD Card reader on the front left side of your laptop.

Otherwise, plug your camera to your PC with USB cable.

I assume your Fuji camera takes SD card and USB.

Where to insert sd card

Normally the sd card slot will be on the side or in front of the laptop if it has that option. Not all laptops have sd card slots.

If your laptop does not have the sd card slot, then you can purchase a sd card reader that plugs into your usb port on the laptop for less than $20.

Try Tiger Direct at: http://tigerdirect.com

Below is a multiformat sd card reader for $9.99 at Tiger Direct.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=186067&CatId=2825

Also your camera might have come with a cable that plugs into the camera and the other end into the laptop's usb port. Once you have the cable connected, turn the camera on and the computer will recognize it. You can then search through the camera folder for the pictures or videos. If you use this method, you leave the SD card inside the camera.

Wont upload photos to computer

If you are using the USB connection cable that came with the camera, instead try using an SD card USB adapter for your computer and importing the photos using that.

Remove the sd card and plug the camera in the pc using the usb cable. Open "my computer" then double click the icon for the camera. You should now be able to take the photos from the cam memory.
Hope this helps.

My Digital Camera Will not upload software

i think you are correct. Likely you are haveing a software compatibility issue. i am seeing this as a recurring problem. This problem is probably too complicated to solve here, so i will offer a work around: You may know this already, but you don't need the camera to upload photos. I rarely upload from my camera. You should be able to do so, but until you figure out the problem, remove the SD card and use a SD card reader. If your PC doesnt have a built in SD reader, get a USB version like the SanDisk MicroMate or get SD with a built-in USB plug(see attached photos for both. When connected to your PC, either will show up as a removeable drive on your PC from which you can copy the files onto your PC's harddrive: save the photos, back them up, then use the camera to format the SD card--this is the best way to clear/erase the card. Then try opening the photos. Using the camera to upload photos, in my opinion, should only be done when you do not have a way to read the SD card. This can be the begining of a productive workflow and part of the process for organizing and backing up photographs.

My camera stopped uploading photos

If the camera still works OK otherwise -- you caN BYPASS THE PROBLEM with coimputer recognition simply by removing the SD card, and reading it directly. Most notebooks have a slot for plugging in an SD card. Otherwise -- there are some very cheap SD card readers (<$5.00) -- insert your card, plug into USB Port, then (on Windows) select "Open Windows Explorer" select and copy your digital images to your PC.

I got a pink Fujifilm Finepix Z20fd and pictures won't download

You don't have to use the software that came with the Fujifilm. I have the same camera. If you're on a laptop that has a slot for SD cards, (if you have an SD card) you can just put your card straight into your computer and load the pictures that way. Also, if you have an SD card reader, you can use that. And if you're on a desktop without either of those options; once you plug your camera into your computer, go to your start menu and click 'My Computer,' then your camera should come up as a removable disk device in the folder. From there, you can drag and drop the pictures onto your desktop or your My Pictures folder.

instead of using the usb plug that the camera has go to best buy, show them your card, and ask for a card reader
what this will do is plug into a usb port, and it will read the data off of the card, completely bypassing the program

Transfer photos to laptop

Uninstall the Fuji Finepix Viewer software from your laptop. Use the Windows operating system to download and access your images through "my computer". If you are using the card slots in your laptop, the card should show up in my computer. If the card slots are not compatable with your new card, you can plug the camera into a USB slot, or use a card reader which will plug into the USB port. If you shoot at full (12 megapixel) resolution, the files may take longer to transfer than you are accustomed. Try downsizing the file size in the camera menu prior to shooting.
