I have the same problem and it went to being an occasional issue to a permanent situation. The problem with the magnet no longer floating was encountered early on and was solved by rigging the magnet so it stays in the up position (of course must visually confirm that the tank is not empty). However the current problem appears as if the logic chip has become stuck and there appears to be no way to reboot it. Any other ideas?

Make sure the smaller, tapered end of the magnet is facing down. I cleaned and replaced it upside down and got errror messages until I figured out it reinstalled it incorrectly.

This has happened to me too just yesterday (26 May 2013), I replaced the tank because I was lucky to have kept the spare bits off the old machine I had and it worked fine. Over time, the water gets into the float and corrodes the magnet. Best to just replace the magnet if you can or the whole tank. Good luck

Just to add....even when I installed my magnet upside down...it did float but still worked incorrectly. Again...the smaller end of the case MUST face down...it's possible if the larger end is down the magnet gets stuck in a lower position - thus telling the machine "you're out of water".

I have the same problem after wedging the magnet up for 2 years. now nothing works - except take the tank off and place a magnet in position over the sensor. This worked! however since I can't put the tank back AND keep the magnet in place, I still have no coffee.
Coffee drs in phoenix said a new tank should fix the problem. The magnet float gets a hole and fills with water, doesn't float. Over time the water corrodes the magnet and the sensor doesn't connect.

Check the float in the tank, if it is not floating up from the bottom then jam something plastic underneath it to activate the water level sensor. You can either continue to use it like that ans check water level before you brew or buy a new tank, there is no repair for a float.

What can I do to have the Ready to Brew light come on? I tried to slowly pour in water and fill water tank but doesnt work.

Be sure spray disk and brew gasket are properly installed in the
brew head.

Be sure the water supply is properly connected and the water
supply valve is turned
ON

Be sure the WATER TANK IS FILLED
BEFORE plugging the brewer into a receptacle, or otherwise
connecting brewer to electrical power
THE WATER TANK MUST BE FILLED

Place an empty decanter under the brew head. Lift
the pour-over cover then pour warm tap water into the pour-over
opening until water flows from the brew head. When water stops
dripping from the brew head, empty the container.

Once the tank is full of water,
connect the brewer to electrical
power. The heating elements will begin heating the water in the
tank.
When the water has reached the proper temperature, the
"READY To BREW" light will glow. http://www.cdccoffee.com/pdf/bloomfield-8571-8572-user-manual.pdf

Hi
The magnet in the water tanks is either upside down or has sunk to the bottom of the tank. It should float to the top of the cage it is in and it should have a flat top not rounded. If its rounded side up the magnet is upside down. This is what would cause your problem.

Reservoir heats but won't dispense

If you are pouring water in the manual brew basin, then check the sprayhead holes, then the spray tube, those could be blocked. If using the auto brew, check the solenoid and or brew switch.
