Repair manual asus f55u

Couldn't repair or service manual. There doesn't seem to be a hardware manual like there is for some other models. For this document, if it exists, I suggest you contact Asus.
However, the general procedure seems to be given here
http://www.ehow.com/how_7208835_change-asus-keyboard.html
be careful when disconnecting/reconnecting the cable to the keyboard, or differently here
http://www.ehow.com/how_7195771_replace-asus-keyboard.html
More descriptions for similar model can be found by searching the internet for "replace keyboard on asus f55u" or similar., including videos. Choose one that most closely resembles your model. If you reach a point where it differs, STOP. It may be helpful to take notes/pictures of what you are doing so that in the worst case you can remember how it went together. Do not force anything.

Select boot device Error after keyboard spill Wierd results

It is more than likely the motherboard has been compromised, you will see white spotted area's where the liquid has spilt. I have fixed a few boards using a stiff toothbrush and rubbing alcohol, but to be successfull this needs to done quickly. If you are able to clean everything off and it seems to work check out www.ebay.com Type make and model, refine search to keyboard.

If Windows 7 does not have a native driver for the webcam, you may download the Win Vista driver from the Asus web site for the webcam. The vista drivers are usually compatible to work with Win 7. The vista driver can be download through the following link: http://tinyurl.com/7mgqz9c

How do I remove the keyboard from Asus K50IJ ?

Try these steps:
1. Place your laptop on a clean, flat surface and remove all power sources from it. Open your laptop screen as far as you can.
2. Use the flathead screwdriver to pop open the hinge cover. Slowly and carefully pry it open from the right side to the left side, exposing the Asus keyboard screws. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws that hold the Asus K50IJ Keyboard in place. Keep these screws in a safe place.
3. Gently tug the Asus K50IJ Keyboard component toward your laptop screen. You are trying to pull it out of the slot that is located near the palm rest and mouse pad. It doesn't take much force, but you must be firm. Once you have pulled it out of the slot, you can lift it up and remove it from your laptop.

hi marianamader

this looks like a hardware issue. in a certain sense you can change the keyboard of the laptop but since you said that you just bought this a year ago you may want to check the warranty for this product. hardware problems **** as keyboard problems usually is warrantied by the service center. it would be best to bring this to the service center first.

hope this helps

Asus Keyboard Problem

Hi!

You may have a problem with the keys on your keyboard sticking. And it could be the ALT key that's sticking. You can try to remove the keyboard unplug and reconnect the cable underneath it. Or better yet, try an external keyboard see if its doing the same thing so that you will have a better conclusion if its the keyboard or just the settings on your OS or BIOS.

Hope this helps!
