No. The C140 uses standard AA batteries, but does not charge them in the camera. You can buy AA battery chargers at just about any department, electronics, or office-supply store.

SOURCE: Kodak DX6490

Hi: This is a long shot, but I had a similar. It would start up, but lense would not extend. Secret was that it wanted the date re-loaded. They have a small internal battery to keep the clock going when you remove the main battery to change it. Many people never do this, just set it on the dock and recharge it. But IF you remove the main battery, and IF the camera is...elderly...the small battery has died and the clock has stopped and the camera has to know what time it is to run. Once you tell the camera what day it is (look in the viewfinder- it's asking for it) she'll fire right up.
I hope this works. These cameras are great. I cna change batteries in about 5 seconds now- practice. If you're fast enough, it won't lose its memory. Joe

SOURCE: BATTERY NOT CHARGING

When that happens you usually need to replace the battery.

Go to any authorized shop and test a new battery before buying the replacement part.

I lost my fujifilm finepix jx 400 battary charger and i want to use my usb cable to charge it is it possible i plug it but it seems doesn't charge

The JX-400 is a camera, not a battery charger. Connecting it to a computer's USB port simply drains the battery faster since the camera has to expend juice communicating with the computer (even if only to say it has nothing to say).

One source for a battery charger is http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/BasAcc-Battery-Charger-Set-for-NP-45-Fuji-FinePix-S610-J110-J150W/7124327/product.html?searchidx=3

Is the usb chord the charger and what you use to download

Hi Cedric
Yes the chord is the charging cable and the download/upload cable.
You will plug it into the usb port on your computer for charging.
You will need Windows Media Player installed in your computer ...after it is installed add your songs to Windows Media Player, then plug your Mp3 player in with Windowns Media Player running, your mp3 player will be recognized and then you can add the songs you added to Windows Media Player.
Please take time to rate me

I have a brand new Nikon coolpix s3000. This is my first time attempting to uplaod the pictures to my computer. My camera has been saying that the battery is exhausted all day, so i figured if i plugged it...

Your camera came with a separate battery charger, didn't it? Plugging a camera with a dead battery into a computer won't get you very far. Charge the battery first.

My nikon coolpix S220 wont charge. I had to buy another USB connector because my son lost his and it does not seem to recognize the camera at all and will not charge

The camera does not contain any charging circuitry and will not charge the battery when connected via the USB cable. In fact connecting via USB actually drains the battery faster because the camera has to communicate with the computer (even if only to say it has nothing to say).

The camera comes with a separate MH-63 charger. Take the battery out of the camera, put it into the charger, and plug the charger into a wall outlet. Once the battery is charged, you can put it into the camera and try connecting it to the computer.

Better yet, don't connect it to the computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.

Can't find my charge adapter for my Jazz HD 188. Will it charge by plugging into the USB port of my PC?

Some phones charge the battery in the camera like a phone, but many do not. This camera has a USB connection, which is meant to be used to transfer photos from the camera to a computer. If your (now lost) charger was plugged into the camera to charge it, and it plugged into the USB connector, then you can charge the camera with any lead that will fit the USB connector, as this will have a standard voltage. You can even charge it from the computer, without buying a separate charger.

However, if your charger charged the batteries outside the phone, by removing them from the phone and placing them in the charger, then it is very unlikely that they will charge in the phone, whatever you connect to it. I have a camera just like this, that requires an external charger.

Charging question

I have the same camera. I don't think you can charge the battery without the dock, unless you find a separate charger for the Lithium battery it comes with. It's a Lenmar 3.7V/700mAh type battery. I looket it up on radioshack. I lost my charger RCA jack power chord. I am trying to find a new one. If you have any luck, post an answer.
