Question about Lenovo Computers & Internet

Reset The desktop was powered down before we were gone for a few days. Upon return, it will not power on. It is still under warranty but first I am trying to determine if it has a system reset switch.

Check your power supply switch/cable first, if they're both plugged in and on, check your backup/power strip (whichever you have) make sure they are on/plugged in. After that, if everything is correct, check the fuse box. If all of this is on/working correctly respond with more specifics (type of PC, power connections etc....) otherwise, mark it solved.

My Charge Fitbit is not holding a charge. Yesterday it was dead within 1.5 hours. I have used the paperclip to try to reset without success. I am ready to throw in the towel so to speak.

You can put the software right, with a reset. Hardware errors and batteries won't change a bit when you use the reset button. When the battery is bad, and it looks that way, just return the Fitbit and ask for a new or new battery. It still should be under warranty. If the warranty is only 90 days for the battery, never again buy a Fitbit in the place you are living. In Europe electronics have a warranty of 24 months.

Lenovo unexpected shut down

I suggest you return it to the supplier for an exchange or repair or refund as it would be still under warranty.
If you try to fix it yourself you will void your warranty.

Good Day
Your unit is still under warranty. The thing is maybe your unit is busted. Just return it to the shop and have it repaired by them. Opening it or trying to repair it by yourself will have the warranty void.
Good luck

Right half of screen is Black with a White vertical stripe

Yeah, I have this exact same problem, except my mom slammed my laptop shut in frustration around half an hour ago, so that's why it's like this. The right half of my screen is black with two colorful stripes (mostly white), but the left half is visible. I've researched a bit and found out that this is because the LCD in your monitor has burnt out, and since you don't have a monitor to attach, the only thing you can do is to go to where you bought the laptop and either get it fixed for free or return it for a brand new one (if your warranty still stands). If not, you might as well get a new laptop. I think my warranty has expired, so I'll get a new laptop, hopefully.

Hope this helps!

Monitor will not turn on including power switch

I suspect the power supply for the monitor. Try a power supply from a working monitor. If you have a used computer store nearby, take your power supply to them and try it on another monitor.

There is no need to turn off a monitor using its power switch. Monitors automatically go into standby mode when they are not receiving a signal. In standby mode they use less than one cent of electricity per day. If saving electricity is your goal, raise the temperature in your home by a degree and run the air conditioning less.

DVD+RW DRIVE STOPPED WORKING

Try rebooting your computer. I have a similar desktop and sometimes after a period of use the drive seems to power down - if I shut down and start up again it seems to work again.

If this doesn't solve the problem, check the connections inside the computer to make sure the drive has the data cable and power cable connected securely.

If you bought the Inspiron 3 days ago, contact Dell for warranty service and a replacement. If you just bought the drive itself 3 days ago, take it back or return it to the retailer you bought it from for a replacement.
