The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

SOURCE: Uploading pictures on PC

This one is easy. Buy a memory card reader and do not use the camera usb cord. A card reader will always be the easiest way to transfer photos from memory stick to PC.

If the pictures are really there, you could use a separate card reader to download them to a folder you create on your desktop. typrice_98.jpg

Upload fotos

Here's how...
  • Starting PC mode
If you connect the USB cable to a USB port on your PC and then turn on the power, the camera will automatically switch to "computer connection mode".
In this mode, you can download stored images to your PC through the USB cable.
The LCD monitor on the camera is always turned off in PC mode.
  • Connecting the camera to a PC
1. In any mode, except Voice Recording mode, press the Menu button.
2. Press the LEFT/ RIGHT button and select the 'SETUP' menu tab.
3. Select the 'USB' menu by pressing the UP/DOWN button and press the RIGHT button.
4. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select 'Computer', and then press the OK button.
5. Press the menu button twice and the menu will disappear.
6. Connect the PC to the camera with the USB cable.
  • Downloading stored images
You can download the still images stored on the camera to your PC's hard disk and print them or use a photo editing software to edit them.
1. Connect the camera to your PC with the USB cable.
2. On your computer's desktop display, select 'My Computer' and double click 'Removable Disk' - 'DCIM' - '100SSCAM'.
3. Select an image and press the right mouse button.
4. A pop-up menu will open.
Click the 'Cut' or 'Copy' menu.
- 'Cut' : cuts (i.e. moves) a selected file.
- 'Copy' : copies files.
5. Click a folder where you want to store the file on your PC.

Don't forget to rate this solution once you've tried it !

Good Luck.

How can I download photos from my Samsung NV3 to the computer. I cant find how to connnect it to the computer. Thanks

Hi,

This camera has a USB output to connect to your PC. It should also have come with a software disk, Install the application software and driver and you will be able to communicate with the PC
If you do not have the cable or software, remove the memory card and transfer the pictures directly to the PC with a card reader - these are very cheap.

Cheers
