Question about Dell Latitude E6420 Laptop Computer 250 GB Hard Drive
Hi Friends,iam vel,Working in customer support Engg in Dell.Recently i Replaced new 250 gb Seagate hdd to lattitude E6420 but unfortunally its not detected in bios,i tried lot of times,and connected Desktop Works Fine.iam unable to identify the issue,can any one suggest me What is the Reason..!!

I had the same exact problem, Open Office was causing some weird conflict Try restoring to a time before you installed any software, makes no sense but that is what caused/cured my problem
BTW, do you get atone when you press those keys?

this may or may not help, try taking out the cmos battery out (looks like a watch battery) and leave for a few minutes then replace, this will reset the bios.

i think you need to re-install your Operating System again since you got a new HDD wich is tottaly empty i assume so try to install your OS on the new HDD

The reason why your TV is showing no input from your laptop is because
of the display resolution of your graphics card, which is higher than
what the TV can handle.
What you can try is, when your system is powered up, just go to your display settings, then reduce the systems display resolution to--preferably 800x600, then go to where you normally select the output, and select 'Output to external monitor"...this should send the signal input to the monitor.
Most Laptop graphics display resolution are generally very powerful as compared to what the TVs can handle.
I have actually dealt with a no input signal like this before, and this was what I did.
