Question about Baby Gear

Open Question

Starting a Tip

This isn't easy or cut and dry so bear with this. The method is hunt and peck to say the least. Those of us who have a lot of tips up have only found a method in the madness.

Go to the Home Page and select or enter the product of which ir resides in a product family depending on whether your solution applies to all printers or a maker of printers or a model series of printers. Lets say Epson.

Go to the E's, navigate through them alphabetically until you see Epson, click on that. You are presented with a subSet of Epson Printers. If your tip is for all Epsons you can pick anyone on the list, do that for practice purposes. Scroll down and see if there is a tip in there or not, because you will see a link titled something like Write a New Tip or Submit a New Tip. Often when you pick a model to do this there is no link for a tip. I've found that this is because no tip is written yet. Very counter intuitive and part of what I'm negotiating with FixYa to resolve for us experts.

When you do pick a printer and find a link to write a new tip you are presented with a drop down list selection that will have an entry, all Epson Printers or this model you are looking in currently. Sometimes you get lucky and there is an entry 'for all printer'. There is no rhyme or reason for this.

Run through that exercise, as clumsy as it sounds and is, until you get to the point where you have the selection drop down list.

Now, be ready to write your tip, thinking in terms of how you have to hunt for the right category to put it in. I wrote one for all blank CDs, that was hard to get a foot hold on, but I found a page finally with a previous tip.

How tips get written in a product family or product that has no tip I haven't figured out yet. I've examined the url structure to determine the variables and if I could enter an element of my own choosing as a variable in the url. I don't get it.

For a second opinion or more like a second and better take on this Buddy Mail (that's what the Ask Me feature is) Ekse.

You can find your tip when you want to link to that in a solution, by visiting your profile page, not the unanswered page. Under your avatar will be an entry now that shows how many tips you have, you click on that and then select right click the tip you want and choose, copy link location... this is depended on your browser. I'm using Firefox, so its words to that affect.

When ever you see a link that states "Visit your profile" then you'll see the number of tips you have.

I just visited your profile page and there are two tips listed under your avatar.

As to the Live Chat pop out, its a toss up who gets to it. I've read how some experts think they understand the process, that it related to how your fields of expertise are chosen by you and in the order you created them. I've gone back and removed them all and then reselect them. Still, with my location on a fiber optic run and how long it takes my browser to get to a Cisco Internet Router, I usually am last to know and rarely get a chance to use a Live Chat. I concentrate on Premium Questions. If you have Firefox, get an add on extension called "Reload Every". Once installed, you have a new right click context menu entry called Reload Every and a sublist allowing you to choose every 10 seconds, 30 seconds and so forth.

Let me know if this answers your question or not.

I wrote two tips, I went to sharp machine and at the bottom was write a tip, I did and you can select it to all copiers, that particular copier.. Now how does one go about seeing this? I can find it, but how does someone looking fo rhelp find it. It is a prewritten answer for a to common question.. so it makes less typing for me..

Now I a gotta figure out this Rating system?

Mine is slowly declining... I figured out to do a Clarification Request.. rather than solution when asking the make model etc question..

This ask an expert thing pops up, but someone else always gets to it before I can, of course I read the question before I click answer it..

    Thanks For Your Help.

Husqvarna rz46 23 after 50hrs right blade is not cutting clean. air in tires, leveled, adjusted blade pitch & cleaned air induction holes, sharpened blades, too Could it be loose belt/bearing issue?

Hi Alan:
You're the best person to answer those questions.
With the motor OFF, mower engage OFF, and gloves on, try to wiggle the blade tip up and down. If there is slack you'll be able to find the source. I broke the spindle housing on mine. An easy remove and replace, but it sure messed up the cut angle.

Can not type

Me neither !!! but I practice the hunt & peck method.

Do you get a message on the screen when booting ?
No messages at all ? Try ESC or DEL or F1 to reach setup and disable quick-start-up-stuff.
If you can do this, your keyboard is working.
If you cannot,,, time for repair.

I peck my key board, what,s the for me to learn my keys on the key board

I'm a 'Hunt and Peck' keyboardist myself. (Took typing in school too! lol! {TOO long ago} Up to 60 words a second with no mistakes :)

Tips I have picked up:

Part of the Alemna method is to memorize certain key letters for the Index finger of the Left hand, and Index finger of the Right hand.

The Left Index finger types the letters,
R, F, V, T G, and B.
Hard to remember is what Alemna states, unless you use a simple memory pattern.
Run From Vicky To Get Becky

The Right Index finger types the letters,
Y, H, N, U, J, M
You Have Nothing Uncle Joe's Mad

12 letters of the 26 letter alphabet.

Now here are two videos of basic typing,

1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3kEcNDYPls&feature=channel

2) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axfXFqXbhhM&feature=related

I recently bought a sega genesis off of ebay and also had to get an a/v cord. I plugged everything in and the only thing that happens is there is a flash across the screen when I turn it on. I tried this...

wow i have not seen one of these since i was in teach school. in some cases its due to carbon build up on the copper pins at the base of the cartridges (games) using a cloth with window cleaning solution clean along the copper strip and re insert game. if this does not work then the internal strip inside the machine will need to be cleaned.

good luck

I am wanting to can pickled beets and the recipe is calling for a peck of beets how many beets is this?

A peck is an Imperial and U.S. customary unit of dry volume, equivalent in each of these systems to 8 dry quarts, or 16 dry pints. Two pecks make a kenning (obsolete), and four pecks make a bushel.
