Question about Franke PF3000 Deck Mounted Pot Filler Faucet with Two Valves: Polished ....

Grohe pot filler

Why does it say to install to cold water only. My husband connected to our grohe pot filler to the hot water supply as he never follows instructions, and I was shocked to get hot water! Will this be a problem?

Here is the link to the install manual for your pot filler...

It mentions 'cold water only' in several places, but also mentions maximum hot water temp of 175, which is hotter than most hot water heaters (140-150), so I don't think (without being an authorized factory rep) that your hot water temp will hurt it... keep on keepin on... always wanted one of these for myself...

I want rotate my Grohe ladylux kitchen faucet. The handle is on the left and I want to rotate to the right side. How do I do it? Thank you John

You will presumably be pushing the faucet handle away from you instead of pulling it forward? If you don't like it, you can always put it back.

Turn off the water.

Release the water in the faucet. If you have a faucet in a room on a floor below, open that to drain the water.

From underneath the unit, back off the nut that is gripping the worktop. Slacken off the hot and cold supply pipes. I am hoping you have braided flexible hoses, or you can't do this job very easily.

Spin the faucet 180'.

Retighten the hold and cold supply pipes.

Retighten the holding nut.

Turn on the water and open the faucet.

Check for leaks.

There is an installation video here.

Grohe mixer will only start the pump on cold. Is the unit faulty.

Ive written a solution twice but for some reason it wont let me post it.I will try to abbreviate it.

You dont say how much flow it has when the pump isnt running but I suspect there isnt enough to turn on the sensor unless all the flow is one side. ie all cold.

After installing a grohe faucet my water is cloudy most of the time. The cold water will eventually clear up after it runs awhile, the hot water, hardly. I never had cloudy water before installing the new...

It air bubbles in the water giving the appearance of cloudy.
It would seem that the aerator in the new faucet is particularly efficient.

If you take a glass of "cloudy" water and let it stand for a few mins, you should find it clears up nicely as the air slowly bleeds out through the top.

I have the same problem and have the fix. There is a water pressure regulator on the bottom of the faucet( under the sink) this part is bad. Grohe will replace it for free. Call Grohe at630=582=7722 tell them the model # of the faucet and the color of the regulator, they will send you a new one for FREE.

Hot water pressure is fine, cold water is low.

You may have debris caught in the supply line or the mixing valve. You will need to take the unit apart after you have turned the water off and inspect those parts. Also, some of the new faucets have cut off valves already installed on the faucet, if you do make sure that they are fully open as well.

No water pressure from Grohe faucet when changed the sink

No, being reversed wouldn't cause it. The only thing that would happen is the direction you turn your handle to get the desired temp. When you remove fittings from plumbing supplies, you can break loose deposits that can clog the faucet. If both the hot and the cold water is affected, then remove the arriator and rinse it clean. That is the little filter looking devise at the end of the spout. But if only one of the supplies are affected (hot or cold) then something has broken loose and is stuck within the valve and needs to be cleaned out. You should take the arriator apart piece by piece making sure to note the order in which you take it apart so it's put back in the right order.

Grohe bath faucet adjustments

Do you still have the owner's manual of the faucet? if so check under troubleshooting. It sounds like, most grohe products, a pressure problem. Did you check the pressure coming into the house? Do you have a water regulator outside the house? If so check the pressure.

Grohe Chiara flow and temperature

If this is only happening in the one shower then it sounds like you have some trash in the hot side of the cartridge. With out being out at your house looking at , I would say pull the cartridge and clean it then put it back in. Dont forget to turn the water off to the house first! If this does not work the let me know.
