Question about Belling Kitchen Ranges

Belling range cooker db4900dft programmer broken and need to disconnect

The programmer has been getting more and more difficult to set as the with only intermittent response to buttons being pushed. Now after a power cut there is no response at all when I hold the plus and minus buttons in. I know how this is supposed to work, and it has worked in the past in a sporadic sort of way. The middle dot should start blinking and allow me to set the time and then use the oven.I don't need or want the timer anyway and am fed up with getting stranded with no oven. I just want to disconnect it and be able to use the oven manually. Belling say the timer can be disonnected, but charge an extortionate sum (£167) for a repair visit. How do I get access to the timer, and how do I disconnect it. (a family member is competent at this sort of thing, though not a qualified electrician.

I am totally mystified at the "suggested solution" "translated" into gobbledygook, from the original gobbledygook dialect obviously, about a totally unrelated product (a door hinge maybe?) and posted a year ago. How does this answer a question posted today about a range cooker programmer???

I have a Belling 335 everything still works apart from the actual oven part? What could this be and is it fixable??

check your timer,if it has a programm set(by accident)the oven will not work until this has been cleared,if your not to sure then switch cooker off at the cookers main switch on the wall.leave for a few mins and switch back on this should clear any set programm, good luck.

Need to know if my cooker is a bayonet fitting

the bayonet fitting is on the end of the gas pipe that plugs into the gas main. look at the back of your cooker follow the black pipe you will see a brass end that fit to the solid gas pipe if you have a ring on the end of you flexible pipe that you can push in slightly and turn to disconnect you have a bayonet. its not the cooker that is a bayonet but the flexy pipe that is connected to your cooker. you can add one if one not fitted

Belling DB3 Control Panel

Not easy. Briefly, in addition to the screws you mention, the cooker side panels need to be removed to give access to removal of the control panel side clamps. Then the indicator lamps have to be disconnected, and timer etc. buttons have to be pulled out to allow removal of the the control panel. Then the main control unit (timer etc.) needs to be unscrewed from behind the control panel.
Replacement is reversal of above.
Good luck!
