    DVD seems to be broken. Green lines appear when unit warms up. If unit is off for a couple of hours the green lines go away. VCR side plays no problem.

Try unplugging unit for a while and restart it..as far as replacing it ..it would be easier to get an external unit instead..cheaper too...

Recorded GoVideo DVD-R will NOT play in any other DVD player


most dvd players have a region code and you must know what code yours is in, oryou can't play any dvd's, try and find your dvd code,by the way you can only change the code ,think it is 5 times , then it will stay in that code and cannot be changed.

How do you start with it i tried but it says it was the wrong type of dvd and it is the rewritable one


Make sure the dvd +rw or -rw are compatable with your unit. Some do one or the other and some do both.

DVD unable to play tv recorded items


If you can see recording on the flip side..it is either a disc patch fix (software) obtained thru Go Video..or find another go video recorder to finalize it..you might try unplugging the unit for a minute or two..and try it again...

try to clean your laser lens then try to play new movies you can get a DVD laser lens cleaner cheap at walgreens,walmart or target

GoVideo VR4940 has stopped reading recorded discs


try using a dvd lens cleaner to clean lens and then try.

also use a quality brand dvd-r I suggest memorex Brand dvd-r
to record on.
