When I try to start up my computer it goes straight to a screen that says enter password. If I press F2 it brings me to a phoenix bio screen that says enter password. I don't know this required password and I don't remember ever doing anything to get into this BIOS program.

When I turn on my laptop, it goes straight to a screen that says enter password. I don't know the password, and when I press F2 it goes to a page that says to enter a BIOS password. I don't know either password.

Hi

Is it like when you turn on your computer it asks you for a BIOS password.

You need to open the notebook from the back and locate the small battery which looks like the shape of coin,
After locating it take that battery out and turn on your computer,
Once your computer is fully loaded then turn if Off,
Then put the battery back and turn on your computer
Try to go into BIOS.
I am sure you will be able to go into BIOS.

To start the Setup Utility program, do the following:

1. If your computer is already on when you start this procedure, shut down the operating system and turn off the computer.

2. Press and hold the F1 key then turn on the computer. When you hear multiple beeps, release the F1 key.

Notes:

a. If you have a USB keyboard installed on your computer and the Setup Utility does not display using this method, turn on the computer, then immediately press and release the F1 key repeatedly until the Setup Utility displays.

b. If a user password or an administrator password has been set, the Setup Utility program menu is not displayed until you type your password.

I hope this helps.

My computer is not starting and on the screen is phoenixBIOS setup utility how can i go back on windows?

Without knowing what type of computer you have, or if you have made any hardware changes lately, the best advice I can give you is to check all the BIOS settings and ensure they are correct. If the computer keeps coming up in the BIOS screen then that means there is an issue in the settings that has to be corrected or ignored for it to boot all the way up. If you are unsure of what the settings should be, on the last page of the BIOS settings, there should be an option to return all settings to defaut. This may be your only way to work through the issue.

How do i change my router password

Please just follow the steps to change your router's password.

1. Open your Internet browser, type the address of the router into the URL address bar, and open it. The address is typically in the form of 192.168.X.X. This is the local network address.

2. Enter the account name and password to open the router setup utility.

3. Navigate through the setup utility until you find the screen that will let you change the password. You will need to enter the old password to change it.

4. Decide on a new password that has good security to a hacker. The best password is more than 8 characters and uses both lower case and upper case letters and numbers. Some will allow you to use special characters also. Do not make the password anything that can be found in a dictionary or any date of significance.

5. Enter the old password in the change password page of the router. When prompted then enter the new password. You will be asked to enter it twice to confirm that the correct password is entered.

6. Immediately, record the new password in some secure location that you can find if you forget it.

7. Confirm the password change on the router page and log off the router. To check the information and that the router has been setup correctly with the new password, open the router address in the browser again and log in with the new information. If you are able to log in, you have successfully changed the password.

Thanks.
Have a great day.

My computer keeps going on the PhoenixBIOS setup utility and needs a password and i don't recall setting up a password what do i do ?

Open your computer case and locate the CMOS jumper. It should be near the coin sized battery. With the power OFF, reposition that jumper from the two pins it is covering now so it covers the other two. So instead of pins 2-3, move to 1-2. Leave it for about 10 seconds, then move it back and power up your computer.

This clears your CMOS and moves ALL of those settings back to factory default, so you may have to change some settings back.

You did try just pressing enter, right?

My laptop lock password phoenixBios ? can u hell me?

Just remove the CMOS battery wait for 1/2 + hour and the re-insert the battery. This will reset the BIOS back to the default settings and you then need to set the Time & Date.
It may not remove the BIOS password if the laptop stores the password on an EEPROM chip.
