How can I recover pictures that were deleted on my sd card

If you have only deleted the photos and have not taken additional photos or used the card in any way is is very likely they can be restored,

First lock away the SD card until we are ready. Find another and after saving some test images delete the images on the test SD card.

Pandora Recovery has saved my bacon and was a breeze to use.
Next step download and practice several times with your test SD until you are confident.

Next open the lock and after your are done just be happy!!

Hope this helps?

I have a LG VX-5400 cell phone. Is there any

Hi Aaron

If your pictures were in an external Micro-SD card, just take it off the cell phone and put it in a computer (you may need to buy a card reader, fortunately very cheap ones are sold in the stores nowadays).

Then you can try downloading "Zero Assumption Recovery" utilities from http://www.z-a-recovery.com/ : program is commercial but it's free for recovering pictures.

Run a scan with it and see what it can do... Don't expect to recover ALL of your photos since most probably some were overwritten by the new photos you took and/or may be corrupted or unrecoverable.

If your pictures were in the phone's internal memory of the phone, you must rely on some application you can find in the Play Store, i.e. DiskDigger.

IMPORTANT:
1) ** DON'T ** try to recover anything from a SD card which is inserted into the cell phone and accessed via its USB cable: you see those folder through an emulation software provided the cellphone itself and you might end up compromising the entire partition!

2) When you recover files and pictures, you MUST select a destination folder which is located in a different partition/volume, or you'll risk to overwrite more recoverable data.

How to delete pictures from a canon power shot sd 1000

It's very easy, there are 2 ways:
1) Using the camera itself:
  1. Slide the black slide switch on the back to the lowest position (to access stored pictures; now the images you took earlier can be seen on the screen.)
  2. Using the directional keys, browse to the image you want to delete.
  3. Press the down directional key (marked with a blue icon of a 'picture' being put into a dustbin)
  4. Confirm by selecting "yes" and pressing "func.set". the image is now deleted.
2) Using a computer (more convenient when you want to delete multiple/all the stored images:
  1. After plugging the camera in (using the supplied cable) open "my computer"
  2. open the camera and keep opening the folders until you find the pictures you have taken.
  3. Holding down the "ctrl" key on the keyboard, click on all the images you want to delete to select them. (if you want to delete all the images you have taken, replace this step with; click on "file" or "organize" and then click "select all")
  4. press the "delete" key. click "yes" now you have deleted the pictures.
There you go. I hope I was helpful.

Good evening, i have a s760 camera with a 2gb SD Card, at first taking pictures is ok but when i have taken ppictures say about 25 the next one becomes file error. what seems to be the problem?

What I'm going to suggest is you download your pictures to your computer then format the SD memory card in the camera. What might have been happening is that you began using this card without formatting it first then as you had pictures you didn't want you used the delete or erase button (little garbage can) what then happens id the deleted picture leave a little bit of a file behind which takes space on your memory card. Eventually there is enough dead space that teh camera can't write to the memory card. Memory cards need to be formatted each time pictures ahve been downloaded to the computer. Format the card and everyone is happy.

I have a kodak easyshare m341 camera with a kodak 2gb sd memory card. I have taken hundreds of pictures on it and all of a sudden I cannot see half of the pictures. I know I did not delete them. How can I...

It may be that the card is full and needs to have the pictures downloaded to the computer files, other pictures may have defaulted to the camera internal memory. Another possibility is that you have used the delete button for the pictures you didn't want and this has caused a partition in your 2gig card so you see pictures on one side of this deleted picture but not the other.

It says pictures have been taken but the card is empty

Take the sd card out and hook the camera to your computer to delete the internal memory or do it on the camera display then turn the camera off and insert the sd card and turn the camera back on.
