Question about Aiwa Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

I am trying locate the technical specifications for an Aiwa zm2600

I have lost the manual for an Aiwa zm2600 hi fi system, and wondering if anyone knows of the full specifications, as I am trying to build a new set of speakers for it, and need the ohm ratings of the hi fi, and the output power of the speaker outs, and freq. response for the amplifier!

It would be a great help so that I can purchase some speakers of the same quality as the speakers for mine are not exactly well.. lol..

SOURCE: 4 ohm and 8 ohm speakers

You can plug in higher ohm speakers , the higher the ohm the higher the resistance is, it is a danger when you plug lower ohm speakers into a higer ohm Amp , at a high volume that will cause them to blow , the center speaker would be fine to use a higer ohm speaker , your best choice is to buy a Active Subwoofer, which means the sub has it's own power supply , and u can blast the thing as much as u like , thn u can turn the bass down on all the other speaker's so u can play it louder , and have the sub turned up has high as u like , this is the best way to get great sound with high volume , buy a Active sub woofer , any active subwoofer is ok , a active sub woofer has its own volume and inputs on the speaker ,

SOURCE: V12 MRV-1507 or Xplod? Amplifier - XM-ZR1252 good quality sound

Alpine is just a better brand in general. I have the older MRV-1507, sounds GREAT, i have had friends who has had the Explode line, but it was always a temporary system until they got something better, like the alpine or kenwood.

They do. If you're in the UK you can try Curry's Partmaster for replacements. Sorry to have to inform you that most replacement remotes are not cheap though, as the makers know when they can spot a money making thing. Everyone sits on or drops remotes!

I have a aiwa xr-avh80 i want to attatch my mp3 player so i can listen throgh the hi-fi how am i supposd to do this and what wire i will need

Your Aiwa must have an input socket such as tape, CD, or Aux at the back or you won't be able to connect it.
If it has an imput you can get a Dock for it. This will keep it powered up so you don't run the battery down while you are playing it.
Another way and much cheaper is to get a 3.5mm Jack plug to two RCA phono plugs lead. These are widely available from your Hi-Fi dealer. All you need to do is put the RCA plugs in the input of your Aiwa and the Jack into your headphone output of the MP3 player and presto job done!

The laser unit might have a number on it which could identify it. You could google it if you find one. Also online parts dealer CPC and other called Willow Vale, carry Aiwa parts I believe.
