Take this information and notice the stars:
Start-> Run-> cmd [enter]
ipconfig [enter]
You will probably see:

IP: 192.168.*.2
sub: 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.*.*

Go to an Internet Browser and type in this from the *GATWAY* in the address bar:
http://192.168.*.*

* This will likely be 192.168.1.1 / 192.168.1.254 192.168.0.1 /254
* or maybe even 192.168.2.1 / 254

username and pass will be admin admin or admin 1234 admin and no password or maybe no username and admin as the password...
Configure the router as you see fit.

Just having the wireless router without connecting it to cable modem or DSL modem will not allow you to get onto the Internet. The wireless card in your computer/laptop will allow you to get onto the Internet at a free public WiFi hot spot location such as McDonalds, Star Bucks, at the airport.
Also the wireless card in your computer/laptop may allow you to connect into an unsecured wireless router from your neighbors, if their wireless router is within range of your computer/laptop but without their permission to use their Internet, it is considered stealing from your neighbor. They have a set download limit from their Internet Service Provider and by you connecting to their ISP you may cause them to exceed their download limit and they would be charged additional costs for every Mega byte over their limit.

Lost my cd for net gear wireless-N Dual Band WNDA3100v2 how can i get another one

Are you trying to set up router ?
You can set up your router manually, without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online directly through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem, that means the modem is working fine.
You will need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

Homegroup problems with wndr 3700

The wireless router needs the wireless settings configured and also the wireless card in all the laptops and or computers needs to be configured with the router’s wireless settings so the laptops and desktop computers can communicate with the wireless router.

To set-up and secure the wireless router from unauthorized access, follow these steps: -
1. Connect the wireless router to your computer with a LAN cable.
2. Start your browser and enter the router's configuration URL IP address.
3. Enter the router setup, login and password
4. Change the admin password
5. Go to the wireless settings and change the default SSID and turn off SSID broadcast.
6. Setup encryption key the strongest is WPA2 (if not then WPA).
7. For further security measures - turn on MAC address filtering and enter the MAC address of the wireless cards on the computer/s you want to connect to this wireless router.
8. Record the settings you have made and keep it in a safe place and Save the settings.
9. Configure the wireless cards on the computer/s with the SSID and encryption settings of the router.
10. Remove the LAN cable between the router and the computer then the computers should be able to connect to the router wirelessly.

Laptop drops signal but other doesnt

This issue generally occurs due to the outdated Wireless Driver.

Check for the Updated Wireless Driver for your Computer (in which signal is dropping) and install in the Computer to resolve the issue.

If the Updated Wireless Driver is not available then un-install the Wireless Driver and install it again to resolve the issue.

Good Luck!!!!!!!
