CD's won't move...lights flash and CD's seem to be stuck in hold.
Thanks in advance for your help. Just this week, after 9 years of use, the CD player isn't playing my song. CD's won't move...lights flash and CD's seem to be stuck in hold. Please advise. Thank you!

This usually means you have a CD stuck. I have had this player for over 10 years and have always just removed the case screws lifted the top off and removed the c\CD that is out of place (two in one slot for example) put it back together and it works fine. Hasn't really happened over 3 times. My kids got older!

Something must be jammed so a trip to a Technician will resolve that. This is one of the reason I never buy changers of any kind because over the years I have had to fix so many cartridge, platter and other changers that are all designed poorly enough to make the 90 day period but not last too much longer. The Sony ES models are the best but they were big money back then- I have a broken one in my shop now.

As long as the cd hasn't caused any other damage to the electronics or mechanics of the player, it should be an easy fix. First, open your carousel then unplug the player to avoid shock. Remove the top lid of the player via the screws on the exterior holding it in place. From there, the stuck CD should be right there for you to reach in and remove. Hope this helps!
i take it u know to press key when changing the tempo? if u press key it changes the tempo but keeps the pitch the same. i keep that on all the time. if i want to change the pick i hold key and press either + or -
i had the same problem on the c303. ended up sending it to FL for fixing. when i got it back it worked fine for a few days then other issues such as not reading disc. unfortunately i could only recommend another manufacturer since this one seems unreliable.
Based on your post it would seem that the lens get stuck when moving along the slider at about the same position. You can try opening the unit and performing a manual clean and re-application of any thin lubricant. Additionally you can use a can of compressed air to blow accumulated dust and foreign debris inside the unit. The slider would be the small rod encircled in yellow dotted lines.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

1. Most of the player drawer fixed over the chasis for a rigid support 2. try to remove the drawer safely without damagind the chasis and drive mechanism 3. there might be some shaft jam. 4. Look for the thread. how does the player drawer moves in and out 5. there may be some sensors to sense the door close/open. if it is jammed then open/close function cannot be done. why because this problem occurs 6. unwear the mechanism read the mechanism moving technique. see which has got jammed. 7. if you feel too risky then 8.contact service centre... all the best
