Hi,

The symptoms on a Dishlex Global 300 dishwasher:

  • eco light is flashing constantly;
  • noise on pump running continuously;
  • but the unit will not operate.
Possible corrective actions include:
  • water level - pls check incoming water pressure, filter, water level sensor, water valve;
  • base/bottom overflow sensor - there is a float switch in the base of the machine inside a small plastic dish. Behind the kick panel, access through a metal lid/panel/cover secured by 2 small screws. Dry completely the area;
  • Air/dry/ventilate the unit/system for a couple of days;
  • reduce incoming water pressure.
Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

    It was the float switch beneath the dishwasher. Note for those looking for the panel to remove. Once you get the kick panel off right in front of you is a galvanised metal that runs the whole width of the machine. Its held in place by two hex screws (easily removed) and then you will expose the machinery at the bottom of the dishwasher. Right in front and at about midpoint you will see the small plastic dish that has been described. Use an absorbent cloth like a chamois and Bob's your uncle. If this doesn't work the float switch is not the issue.

An overflow of water into the base of the machine.

There is a float switch in the base of the machine in a small plastic dish.
There is a metal cover with 2 small bolts that have to be removed to get to it.
get the overflow cleared.

    Once you get the kick plate off you will see a galvanised panel that runs the width of the machine. It is held in place by two hex screws (easily removed). Take the panel off and then you will have exposed the underneath of the pump machinery at the bottom of the machine. About mid line in the machine and in the front as you look at it you will see the plastic dish and if it has water in it then use a Chamois or other absorbent cloth to dry it out. Voila and the machine should start. If this solution doesn't work the problem is not with the float switch so need to look elsewhere.

You can try to remove the kick plate and empty the overflow container. You may have to take the galvanised panel after removingthe kick plate to get full access to the container.

Try first unplugging power cord for ten minutes, It can be a faulty drain pump or a faulty control.

Dishlex global 300 dishwasher, eco light flashing sounds like pump noise but not working

Try taking the dishwasher out of its wall space and tipping it back and forth. Apparently the weight of water gathering in some component triggers the 'eco' function. Failing that, last time it happened to my dishwasher i waited a week for the repair guy to arrive, by which time the water had evaporated and there was no longer a problem..

Dishlex dishwasher global 300. Dishwasher continues to drain with ECO light flashing. Service manual says it is due to an incorrect fill level or fill line.

Some diswashers have a sump in the bottom with a float switch. If the water level overflows the float will activate the switch which will kill the machine and run the drain pump continuously.
